Background of “AdminLink Zero Config” Feature Addition
Previously, the deployment of network equipment using AdminLink involved several operational burdens and potential issues:
-
Time-consuming pre-configuration for each device: Conservative management companies (resellers) had to unbox, power on, log in, and configure each network product individually before repackaging and shipping them to corporate users. This process required significant labor and was prone to errors due to manual settings.
-
Requirement for specialized network administrators: Configuring network devices demands specialized knowledge, often necessitating the presence of a device administrator for setup, which added to the workload.
The introduction of “AdminLink Zero Config” aims to alleviate these burdens for both management companies (resellers) and end-users (device administrators).
“AdminLink Zero Config”: Plug-and-Play Simplicity
With the new “AdminLink Zero Config” feature, prior configuration of network devices becomes unnecessary. This allows tasks traditionally performed on-site to be handled remotely, leading to an expected reduction in operational burden.

-
Centralized cloud-based management of network device settings: This feature enables regular checks of settings and the application of consistent security policies across all locations. Existing AdminLink users can utilize this feature for new or expanded locations.
-
Standardized installation and reduced labor: On-site work is simplified to merely unboxing the product and connecting it to the specified port. This process can be handled without specialized skills, shortening the time required for kitting and on-site configuration, thereby supporting operational efficiency.
