System Five Begins Sales of DJI ROMO Robot Vacuum Cleaner

(Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director and President: Yukihiro Ogawa), a DJI authorized reseller, commenced sales of the DJI ROMO household robot vacuum cleaner on February 26, 2026. This launch introduces DJI’s first flagship robot vacuum cleaner equipped with advanced sensor technology to the Japanese market.

Simultaneously with the launch, a special campaign is underway until March 31, allowing customers to acquire the new product at a more accessible price. Additionally, System Five is hosting exclusive in-store campaigns.

The DJI ROMO integrates advanced sensor technology, marking DJI’s entry into the robot vacuum cleaner market. It incorporates drone obstacle detection technology, enabling it to recognize even small components.

    • Stylish Skeleton Design: The DJI ROMO features a futuristic and refined skeleton or white-based design that blends seamlessly into living spaces, automating cleaning tasks while maintaining a minimalist aesthetic.

    • Millimeter-Level High-Precision Obstacle Detection: Equipped with high-performance dual fisheye vision sensors and wide-angle dual transmitter solid-state LiDAR, similar to those found in DJI Mavic 4 Pro and DJI Air 3S drones, the ROMO achieves high-precision detection with an advanced obstacle detection system.

      It accurately detects and avoids narrow objects, recognizing items like earphones on furniture or floors to prevent entanglement. Furthermore, the fisheye vision sensor distinguishes between different types of obstacles and debris, automatically adjusting the travel speed and side brush rotation to minimize scattering.

    • Optimized Cleaning Plan for Comprehensive Coverage: Utilizing the DJI Home app and the DJI ROMO’s detection system, the device maps indoor spaces. It precisely recognizes the size and position of carpets, allowing for map updates. Multiple smart cleaning modes automatically adjust to floor conditions, planning optimal routes based on maps and dirt levels. It efficiently cleans around irregular furniture and avoids small items like socks. The system also provides advance notifications for low cleaning water or full dirty water tanks to ensure smooth operation.

    • Adaptive Smart Robot for Thorough Cleaning: Dual robotic arms extend to reach walls and corners, ensuring comprehensive cleaning. Real-time mapping and adaptive edge algorithms allow the arms to automatically extend and retract according to the space, cleaning hard-to-reach areas and corners.

      With a 9-blade metal fan and optimized airflow design, the DJI ROMO achieves a maximum suction power of 25,000Pa. This powerful suction thoroughly removes fine dust to large debris, significantly surpassing typical robot vacuum cleaners (approximately 2,000-6,000Pa) to deliver flagship-level cleaning performance.

    • Dirt-Spreading Prevention Function: The robot automatically lifts its roller brush and mop pad depending on the task, effectively removing dirt without spreading it. During dust collection, the brush is lifted to reduce noise.

    • Customizable Wet Mopping with Dedicated Detergent: The ROMO features a customizable cleaning mode that allows direct application of specialized detergent to the mop pads, effectively tackling stubborn kitchen grease. It supports dedicated detergents for wet mopping tailored to specific uses and spaces. A large 164ml tank enables mopping of wider areas.

    • DJI’s First 3-Stage Quiet System: With three quiet systems, the DJI ROMO reduces noise by up to 80%, achieving powerful yet quiet cleaning.

      The base station incorporates a 3-stage soundproofing system with a long muffler duct and muffler chamber, significantly reducing noise during dust collection. This allows for comfortable use even in households with families or pets.
