Major April Firmware Update
A new firmware update is scheduled for release in April, introducing several new features, including time-lapse photography and a virtual cockpit. This update also significantly enhances the A1’s obstacle avoidance system, aligning with the release of a conventional remote controller later this year.
The A1, designed for 360-degree full-view shooting, records footage from all angles by simply moving forward. It has previously achieved high safety and stability through a combination of forward/downward obstacle detection and all-around recognition with dual fisheye lenses. The upcoming update will enable 360-degree all-around obstacle avoidance. Additionally, a new “Bypass Mode” will be introduced, allowing the drone to automatically navigate around obstacles and secure an optimal route, enabling pilots to focus more on immersive flight.
Expanding Creative Possibilities
Beyond Antigravity’s cinematic effects, time-lapse photography will be supported in both “Normal Recording” and “SkyPath” modes, transforming everyday flights into cinematic scenes. Camera angles can now be set at each waypoint in SkyPath, allowing for smooth angle transitions by the drone and creating a more immersive video experience.
The “Virtual Cockpit Mode,” which will soon be available, aims to elevate the A1’s flight experience to a new dimension, offering immersive and realistic perspectives, from fantasy dragon-back rides to authentic pilot views. The refreshed SkyPath will also feature “Path Styles” to add flair to routes and “Path Markers” for freely placing gimmicks, adding a playful element to flights.
Furthermore, a significant upgrade to AI auto-editing is scheduled for late April. This enhancement is designed to make creation easier and more accessible, enabling anyone to achieve professional-quality edits. The one-tap full-view FPV function will also evolve to maximize the appeal of full-view aerial photography and introduce new segment types for diverse scenes. In the editing process, rich templates and optimized editing logic will simultaneously enhance video interest and completeness. Audio will be automatically matched, allowing for the generation of immersive panoramic FPV aerial footage with a single tap. This aims to significantly lower the barriers to aerial photography and editing, enabling even beginners to complete high-quality works in a short time.
