GEO DIGITAL BASE Nagoya Yakiyama Store to Open on March 25, Offering a Next-Generation Digital Experience
GEO STORE Co., Ltd., a group company of GEO Holdings Corporation, is set to open its first new business format store, “GEO DIGITAL BASE Nagoya Yakiyama Store,” in Nagoya City, Aichi Prefecture, on Wednesday, March 25, 2026. This new store concept, “GEO DIGITAL BASE,” aims to be an “entertainment base” that updates daily life through digital devices, providing a one-stop solution for customers’ digital challenges.

About the New Business Format “GEO DIGITAL BASE”
GEO, which operates approximately 1,000 stores nationwide, is launching “GEO DIGITAL BASE” as a “digital specialty store that updates daily life,” anticipating changes in the market and customer needs. The new store name reflects the desire to be a “base” that updates customers’ daily lives, going beyond a mere store. It offers opportunities for customers to “encounter” new games and gadgets, and provides immediate support for digital life’s “troubles” such as repairs and settings. The store aims to be a partner that makes digital life enjoyable and convenient, supporting a comfortable environment alongside daily life.
Features of the Store Location
The Nagoya Yakiyama area in Tempaku Ward, Nagoya City, where the first GEO DIGITAL BASE store will open, is situated in the hilly eastern part of Nagoya City. It is a suburban area where a quiet residential district coexists with abundant greenery. With excellent access from major roads like Iida Kaido (National Route 153) and Yamate Green Road, it attracts a wide range of generations daily. This location was deemed optimal for the first store of the new business format, which aims to be community-based and close to customers’ daily lives.
Store Services
1. Solving Digital Life’s “Troubles” with Expert Crew Support
At GEO DIGITAL BASE, customers’ concerns such as “Which smartphone should I choose?” or “Settings are difficult” will be addressed by specialist staff, known as “Crews,” who possess extensive product knowledge and skills. Leveraging the strength of a physical store, they will support customers’ digital lives.
2. New On-Site Repair Services for Immediate Response
New repair services for iPhone (battery/screen) and Nintendo Switch™ series will be established. Specialist staff will diagnose and complete repairs on-site. Additionally, the store will offer proposals tailored to customer benefits, such as whether to repair, purchase a used device, or rent.
*Please note that same-day service may not be available during busy periods or close to closing time.
3. Nagoya’s Largest Selection: Over 22,000 Items in Stock
The store boasts one of the largest inventories in the region, featuring a wide range of items to enrich lifestyles. It will consistently offer approximately 10,000 new gadgets, 10,000 game-related products, 1,000 used smartphones/tablets, and 1,000 used PCs/cameras/peripherals, totaling over 22,000 items. The following categories, which have seen increased demand recently, will be significantly strengthened:
-
Used Apple products: Enhanced lineup of Apple Watch, AirPods, iPhone/iPad, offering a wide range of past models.
-
Games: Achieves GEO’s largest selection, including not only the latest hardware like the Nintendo Switch™ series but also popular retro games.
-
Digital devices: Significantly expanded variety of specialized digital devices such as PCs, earphones, headphones, speakers, compact digital cameras, and televisions.
4. Area for Proposing New Gadget Lifestyles
A Visual Presentation (VP) corner will be set up to propose “how to use” products, not just “what to buy,” according to seasonal themes. For the grand opening, the theme will be “What’s In My Bag,” featuring displays that propose modern, real lifestyles by combining the latest devices and peripheral equipment.
5. Free Mobile Battery Collection
Ahead of the mobile battery collection and recycling obligation enforcement in April 2026, this store will begin free collection. Expansion to GEO and GEO Mobile stores nationwide is also being considered for the future.
Future Domestic Expansion
The group plans to open more stores under this new business format in parallel with existing GEO and GEO Mobile stores. A second store is scheduled to open in Kawaguchi City, Saitama Prefecture, in April 2026. The goal is to expand to a maximum of 500 to 600 stores by fiscal year 2036.
