Global Leadership in the Growing Cleaning Robot Market
According to IDC, Roborock secured the top position in the overall home cleaning robot market, which includes robot vacuum cleaners, robotic lawn mowers, and window cleaning robots. In 2025, the company recorded 5.8 million unit shipments and a 17.7% market share. Specifically in the robot vacuum cleaner segment, Roborock has maintained its leading position since the second half of 2023, achieving a record-high market share of 27.0% in the second half of 2025, making it the world’s No.1 brand for three consecutive years.
IDC’s analysis indicates that the global market for cleaning robots is undergoing significant transformation due to advancements in AI technology, accelerated product development, and the expansion of Chinese brands into international markets. Amidst this dynamic environment, Roborock has not only excelled in the robot vacuum cleaner category but has also claimed the top spot in the broader cleaning robot market for the first time.
Furthermore, Roborock has achieved the No.1 position in key markets such as the United States (Americas), Germany (Europe), and South Korea (Asia Pacific), demonstrating its strong product competitiveness backed by global sales performance. IDC attributes Roborock’s growth to its technological superiority, expanding global sales, and a diverse product lineup tailored to various applications and needs.

The IDC tracking report reveals that global shipments of home cleaning robots reached 32.72 million units in 2025, marking a significant 20.1% year-on-year increase. Within this, the robot vacuum cleaner sector saw a 17.1% increase in shipments compared to the previous year, highlighting its dominant role in driving the overall home cleaning robot market.
Combining AI Functions with Cleaning Performance for Diverse Needs
IDC’s research highlights that the continuous evolution of AI functions—such as multi-sensor fusion, situational awareness, environmental understanding, obstacle avoidance, path optimization, dirt recognition, and user interaction—will be critical factors influencing future competition. However, while AI features are important, consumers still prioritize cleaning performance above all else.
At CES 2026 in Las Vegas in January 2026, Roborock unveiled its latest model, the “Roborock Saros Rover”1, which features wheel legs enabling stair cleaning, traversal of various inclines, and movement in ways conventional robot vacuum cleaners could not. Additionally, new models in the “Saros series,” “Roborock Saros 20” and “Roborock Saros 20 Sonic,” were premiered at the same event. Roborock is committed to continuing to offer products that combine cutting-edge AI technology with high cleaning performance, addressing diverse cleaning needs beyond just vacuuming and mopping.

1 “Saros Rover” is currently under development, and its release date is yet to be determined.
