Anker Announces Mobile Battery with Highest Safety Standards, Featuring Nail Penetration Test-Passed Cells

Chargers

Unprecedented Safety Features

The mobile battery incorporates high-performance ternary lithium-ion battery cells that can pass safety tests commonly considered difficult, including the nail penetration test. This test involves piercing a fully charged battery cell with a steel needle to ensure it does not ignite or explode. Beyond the cells, the product is equipped with a Battery Management System (BMS) that monitors voltage every second and records cell information. It also includes an intelligent adjustment function designed to detect abnormalities instantly and shut down the device immediately.

Furthermore, the exterior casing will continue to utilize industry-leading flame-retardant materials, ensuring that even if an internal short circuit or abnormal heat generation occurs, the casing will resist spreading flames.

Compact Design with Enhanced Safety

Typically, lithium-ion batteries designed to pass the nail penetration test require a lower cell density, which can result in larger and heavier products. However, this new mobile battery, which meets Anker’s highest safety standards, achieves a compact and lightweight design by leveraging Anker’s accumulated technology and expertise.

Anker, as a leading brand in charging solutions, will continue to expand its product lineup in compliance with the latest standards, in addition to acquiring certifications such as Japan’s PSE certification and other international standards.
