Enhanced Safety Initiatives Across the Product Lifecycle

Anker Group’s comprehensive safety strategy covers three key phases:

Development (Creation)

By the latter half of 2025, Anker Group will establish a new in-house lab at its China headquarters for product safety testing. The company has also implemented its proprietary Manufacturing Execution System (MES) to manage components from suppliers to finished products, ensuring strict adherence to quality standards. Supplier commissioning criteria have been tightened, and agreements with global lithium-ion battery cell suppliers have been made to further enhance product safety and develop industry-leading quality products.

Usage (Application)

To promote the safe use of mobile batteries, Anker Japan will intensify its educational content dissemination through its official media, “Anker Magazine,” and official social media accounts.

Recycling (Disposal)

In addition to existing recycling activities and trade-in campaigns, Anker Stores will progressively install collection boxes for all used Anker mobile batteries. The company also plans to strengthen its collaboration with the Ministry of the Environment’s “LiB Partner” program for fire prevention, engage in initiatives with local governments, conduct study sessions at junior high schools, and expand collection activities with electronics retailers.

Introducing “Li-ion-kun”: The Lithium-Ion Battery Safety Awareness Character

As part of its public relations and awareness efforts for the safe use and proper disposal of lithium-ion battery products, Anker Japan has unveiled its original character, “Li-ion-kun.” Inspired by the English term “Li-ion” for lithium-ion batteries, this lion-motif character is depicted with flames to highlight the flammability and potential dangers associated with these batteries.

A special page for “Li-ion-kun” has been launched, offering the character’s image data free of charge for anyone to use in awareness activities, not just by Anker Japan, provided the purpose is to promote the safe use and disposal of lithium-ion battery products.
