BANDAI SPIRITS has announced the revival of the iconic “Combat Mecha Xabungle” from the anime series of the same name within its adult model kit brand, SMP [SHOKUGAN MODELING PROJECT]. This marks the first re-release in 10 years, bringing with it significant power-ups and new features. Pre-orders for the “SMP [SHOKUGAN MODELING PROJECT] Combat Mecha Xabungle Xabungle & Walker Gallia Set” (7,920 yen including tax, excluding shipping and handling) commenced on January 20, 2026.
Product Features: Separation and Transformation
The set includes the combat Walker Machines “Xabungle” and “Walker Gallia,” both capable of separating and transforming into their respective forms, just as seen in the anime. The “Xabungle” can split into “Bungle Skipper,” “Bungle Rover,” and “Xabungle Car,” while the “Walker Gallia” transforms into “Gallia Hover” and “Gallia Will.”
Renewal Contents: Significant Upgrades
This renewed release boasts several enhancements:
1. Change in Product Material
The product material has been upgraded from PS to ABS, improving articulation durability and making the models more robust for play and posing.
2. Updated Coloring Reproduction
The coloring has been re-evaluated, with additional seals and paint applications to areas that were omitted in the “Super Minipla Combat Mecha Xabungle” released in June 2016, providing a more accurate representation.
3. Newly Sculpted Armament Parts
New armament parts, featured in the experimental video “BLUE GALE XABUNGLE SIDE R,” have been newly sculpted and included. These additions, such as a gatling gun, bazooka, and drill-shaped weapons, allow for the reproduction of in-show equipment. Furthermore, these new parts can be combined with existing weapon parts for a wider range of customization and dynamic displays.
