Event Highlights
The exhibition is designed to offer a behind-the-scenes look at the unique planning and editing processes that define Takara Tomy Arts’ Gacha creations. Visitors can explore the world of Gacha through displays that unravel the stories behind popular brands.

A history corner will feature Gacha products spanning the Showa, Heisei, and Reiwa eras, allowing attendees to experience the evolution of Gacha from its past to its future. This section will evoke a sense of nostalgia with retro items from the Showa period and familiar toys from more recent times.
“Gacha with Style” Exhibition
This section will showcase popular Takara Tomy Arts’ Gacha series, such as “Katakun Fig.” (Shoulder Zun Fig.), “Hide & Seek,” and “Panda’s Ana,” categorized by their distinctive styles and formats. The displays aim to convey the creators’ dedication, potentially offering a glimpse into the creative minds behind the Gacha ideas.

Example: The “Katakun Fig.” series, launched in 2021, features figures posed as if leaning on someone’s shoulder. Over 100 variations have been released to date (as of January 2026).
Latest Gacha Products and Advance Sales
The exhibition will unveil over 50 new Gacha products scheduled for release in spring 2026, offering an exclusive preview of upcoming items. Additionally, 22 of these new Gacha products will be available for advance purchase at the venue. A “Gacha Photo Spot” will also be set up, allowing visitors to photograph their newly acquired items.

Adjacent to the main exhibition, a pop-up shop for “PERIHAPI!,” a new figure series born from Gacha, will offer all five previously released items and an early opportunity to purchase a new product slated for March release.
Gachapin and Mukku as “Gacha Ambassadors”
To commemorate the event, Gachapin and Mukku will attend as “Gacha Ambassadors,” participating in the opening ceremony on February 7 (Saturday). Visitors might have a chance to meet them at the venue.

Further details about photo spots and other engaging activities will be announced on the official Gacha X account (@Play_Gacha).

Gacha Japan’s 60th Anniversary
“Gacha” (capsule toys) were first introduced to Japan in 1965 by Penny Shokai (now Penny Co., Ltd.). Penny established February 17, its founding anniversary, as “Gacha Day.” Takara Tomy Arts, the parent company of Penny, entered the capsule toy business in 1988 through its predecessor, Yujin Co., Ltd., and has since been involved in the planning, manufacturing, and sales of capsule vending machines (Gacha machines) and their contents. The brand “Gacha®” is a registered trademark of Takara Tomy Arts.

The 60th-anniversary celebration of Gacha’s arrival in Japan began on “Gacha Day” in 2025, with Takara Tomy Arts and Penny presenting various commemorative projects.
