Details of the Comprehensive Partnership Agreement

Agreement Signing Ceremony

Haier Japan Sales Co., Ltd. and Miki City, Hyogo Prefecture, have reinforced their mutual cooperation to address various regional challenges in areas such as welfare, environment, disaster prevention, and community development. The objective is to advance Miki City’s local revitalization and contribute to further regional societal development, as well as to ensure the swift and smooth supply of goods in times of disaster.

As part of this agreement, the suction-type floor cleaning machine “MIZUKI” (JC-M1A) and the hot water steam model of the fabric washing machine “MIZUKI nu-no” (JC-RPS1A) were donated. These appliances are intended for use in facilities such as kindergartens, aiming to streamline operations and enhance environmental hygiene management. This initiative seeks to provide a hygienic environment for children, improve the working conditions for childcare workers, and promote child-rearing support in Miki City. Furthermore, the partnership plans to conduct demonstration experiments of home appliances at community exchange facilities, contributing to the future development of new products.

About the Suction-Type Floor Cleaning Machine “MIZUKI” (JC-M1A)

MIZUKI (JC-M1A) Cleaner

The “MIZUKI” (JC-M1A) suction-type floor cleaning machine was developed in response to customer needs related to floor cleaning, such as concerns about stickiness and grittiness when walking barefoot, the desire for easy cleaning of oil stains, sand, and pollen, and the physical burden of wet mopping. This stick cleaner features “multi-powerful suction,” which cleans and dries floors while simultaneously vacuuming dirt. It was co-developed with Ms. Haruko Niitsu, who is affiliated with Japan Airport Terminal Co., Ltd. Leveraging Ms. Niitsu’s extensive experience and skills as a cleaning professional supporting Haneda Airport, known as the “world’s cleanest airport,” this cleaner effectively removes fine dust that conventional vacuum cleaners cannot pick up and stubborn stains that cannot be removed by dry wiping. The product has received high praise from the market and was awarded in the “16th Parenting Award” Mono/Service category.

About the Fabric Washing Machine “MIZUKI nu-no” Hot Water Steam Model (JC-RPS1A)

MIZUKI nu-no (JC-RPS1A) Cleaner

The “MIZUKI nu-no” is the second product in the “MIZUKI” series, designed to wash unwashable fabric products with water. Developed with the concept of “Let’s wash more fabrics,” it addresses the common desire to clean fabric items that cannot be put into a washing machine, such as sofas, car seats, carpets, and strollers, which are difficult to remove or transport. This new rinse cleaner makes fabric care more accessible and convenient.

This product sprays water from a nozzle into the tank, lifting dirt embedded in fabric products. A brush then scrapes out the lifted dirt, which is then powerfully suctioned with a force of up to 15,000 Pa. This process thoroughly cleans fabric products from the surface to deep within the fibers, tackling items previously difficult to wash, such as sofas, carpets, baby strollers, and car seats.

The hot water steam model (JC-RPS1A) is equipped with a “60℃ Hot Water Mode” that heats room temperature water to 60℃ inside the unit, effectively cleaning oil-based stains that are difficult to remove with cold water. It also features a “Steam Mode” that heats room temperature water to 100℃ inside the unit and ejects it as high-temperature steam from the nozzle. This mode has been confirmed to deodorize odors from tobacco, food, and pet urine by approximately 99% (※1) and achieve an approximately 99% mite-killing effect (※2).

  • ※1 Test institution: Kitasato Environmental Science Center (General Incorporated Foundation), Test method: Evaluation by measuring odor substance concentration using detector tube method for test cloths with attached odors and deodorized test cloths. Performed with 3 types of odors: acetic acid (assuming sweat odor, aging odor, tobacco odor, seasoning odor), trimethylamine (assuming garbage odor, kitchen odor), ammonia (assuming pet urine odor). Deodorization method: Suction in strong mode while spraying steam. Test result: Removal rate 99% or more. Target area: fabric surface.

  • ※2 Test institution: Boken Quality Evaluation Institute (General Incorporated Foundation), Test method: Steam sprayed for approximately 30 seconds by pressing the nozzle against a test cloth (containing approximately 1000 live mites), and the number of live and dead mites was measured. Test result: Dead mite rate 99% or more.
