Affordable Home Charging Environment Established Nationwide
One of the significant barriers to EV adoption has been the substantial initial investment required for installing home charging infrastructure. Jigowatts addresses this by offering the “Nadiya” EV ordinary charger at a uniform national price of ¥250,000 (excluding tax), encompassing both the unit and installation. This initiative seeks to empower more users to establish their own home charging environments. The charger is equipped with a convenient 8-meter cable, and customers can apply for the plan without needing to alter their existing electricity contracts. Furthermore, the proprietary smartphone application, “Jigowatts Home,” enhances the safety and flexibility of charging operations.

App Features
1. Remote Charging Output Adjustment
The “Jigowatts Home” app allows users to remotely adjust the charging output from 6A to a maximum of 30A, in 1A increments. This feature is particularly useful for households with typical electricity contracts (often 40A to 50A), where simultaneous use of multiple appliances might otherwise trip circuit breakers. Adjusting the output via the app enables safe charging without the need to change the contract amperage.

2. Scheduled Charging Function
This function allows users to schedule charging sessions to occur automatically during specified “unused hours,” thereby avoiding peak electricity consumption times when appliances like microwaves or dryers are frequently used. Users can set the start and end times through the app, ensuring a convenient and reliable charging experience tailored to their daily routines. For example, charging can be set to run from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM the following day, automatically starting once the cable is plugged in after returning home.

3. Charging Status Monitoring
Users can monitor the current charging power and progress directly through the app.
4. Other Upcoming Features
Future updates for the app are expected to include:
-
Theft prevention lock function
-
Family user function
-
Batch management of multiple chargers
