MSI Introduces New ATX 3.1/PCIe 5.1 Power Supply Units with Advanced Safety Features
MSI will launch its new ATX 3.1 and PCIe 5.1 compliant 80 PLUS & Cybenetics Platinum certified power supply units, the “MAG A1000PLS PCIE5” and “MAG A1200PLS PCIE5”, on April 17, 2026.
These new power supply units are designed to support the latest Nvidia® GeForce RTX™ 50 Series graphics cards, making them suitable for high-performance gaming PCs. A key feature is the 12V-2×6 connector, which is colored yellow for easy visual confirmation of proper insertion.
Enhanced Protection with GPU SafeGuard and Fan SafeGuard
The MAG A1000PLS PCIE5 and MAG A1200PLS PCIE5 are equipped with advanced safety features to protect valuable PC components. The “GPU SafeGuard” function emits an audible buzzer if an abnormality is detected in the 12V-2×6 connector, alerting users to potential issues. Similarly, the “Fan SafeGuard” function detects cooling fan abnormalities and protects the system with an audible buzzer and automatic shutdown. These features ensure long-term, reliable operation.
