TOYO Corporation China to Offer Bluetest Wireless Communication Performance Evaluation Systems in China

TOYO Corporation China (TYC), a subsidiary of TOYO Corporation, announced it has obtained sales agency rights for products from Bluetest AB, a Swedish manufacturer of reverberation chambers for evaluating wireless device performance. This agreement, effective January 2026, will see TYC expand the sales of Bluetest’s innovative systems in the Chinese market.

Overview

In recent years, wireless communication has become integral across various sectors, including mobility and healthcare, driving a strong demand for highly accurate performance evaluation of wireless communication equipment. Over-The-Air (OTA) measurement, which assesses wireless devices and systems under real-world conditions, is gaining importance in China, particularly for in-vehicle wireless communication equipment and drones. However, traditional wireless communication performance evaluation often requires substantial investment in large-scale anechoic chambers. This has led to a call for more compact and affordable solutions.

Bluetest’s reverberation chambers offer a solution by enabling antenna measurements—traditionally performed in anechoic chambers—within a compact system that can be installed in an office environment. These chambers create an isotropic multipath environment by reflecting and stirring radio waves internally, allowing for high-speed evaluation of wireless devices in realistic communication conditions. For instance, Total Radiated Power (TRP) measurements that typically take tens of minutes in an anechoic chamber can be completed in just a few minutes using a Bluetest reverberation chamber. This evaluation method is recognized in international standards as an alternative to anechoic chamber measurements, as outlined in the European Telecommunications Standards Institute’s technical report (ETSI TR 125 914 V17.0.0 (2022-04) Annex E). Globally, over 450 Bluetest reverberation chambers have been sold.

TOYO Corporation began selling Bluetest products in Japan in 2007, accumulating extensive knowledge in this measurement methodology and system. With TYC now handling Bluetest products in China, it will serve as the primary contact for sales and technical support in the region.

In collaboration with Bluetest, TOYO Corporation aims to address the increasing demand for testing as wireless communication expands beyond mobile terminals to areas such as mobility, drones, and medical devices. The company is committed to contributing to the realization of high wireless communication quality in these new application fields.

Key Features of Bluetest Reverberation Chambers

  • Reproduces multipath environments, providing realistic reflection conditions essential for MIMO antenna evaluation.

  • Enables OTA performance measurements such as TRP (Total Radiated Power) and TIS (Total Isotropic Sensitivity) when combined with a radio tester.

  • Allows near real-time measurement of efficiency, correlation coefficient, and diversity gain for multi-antennas in LTE and MIMO terminals, in conjunction with a network analyzer.

  • Recognized in international standards as an alternative measurement method to anechoic chambers.

  • Compact design allows for installation in office buildings.

  • Achieves lower costs and approximately a tenfold reduction in TRP measurement time compared to conventional anechoic chambers.
