Product Features
Extremely Simple Operation
Designed for ease of use, even for those unfamiliar with digital devices. Simply turn on the power to start sound collection, then adjust the volume as needed. This device does not include Bluetooth functionality.

Significantly Reduced Howling
The design features a separation between the sound collection microphone and the earphones, which helps to suppress unpleasant howling (feedback noise). However, howling may still occur if the earphones and sound collector are brought too close together.

Proprietary Technology for Clear Voice Amplification
Proprietary equalizing technology adjusts sound to make speech clearer while suppressing ambient noise. This ensures that necessary voices are heard naturally, even in crowded places or environments with background noise.

Gentle Cartilage Conduction for Ear Comfort
Earphones are designed to rest gently in the hollow of the ear, rather than being inserted into the ear canal. This provides comfortable wear for extended periods without pain or stuffiness. It also helps to minimize the sound of one’s own chewing, making television and conversations easier to hear.

Secure, Neck-Worn Design
Being worn around the neck, there is no concern of the device falling off while walking. When not in use, the earphones can be removed and the device remains around the neck, ready for immediate use.

Easy to Clean and Always Hygienic
The spherical shape of the earphone parts, without bumps or indentations, prevents earwax accumulation. They can be easily wiped clean, ensuring the device remains hygienic.
IP65 Dust and Water Resistance
Designed for durability, the device features IP65 equivalent dust and water resistance, making it suitable for use in light rain or during household chores where it might come into contact with water. This ensures usability in various daily situations.
Rechargeable and Eco-Friendly
One charge provides up to 20 hours of use. The rechargeable battery eliminates the need for frequent dry cell battery replacements, contributing to environmental friendliness. The charging port is USB-C.
Japanese Quality and Support
This product is planned and quality-controlled by TRA Inc., a Japanese manufacturer. After-sales service is provided through a dedicated domestic support center, offering assistance in Japanese via phone or email. This ensures peace of mind for first-time sound collector purchasers. The earphone part (cartilage conduction vibrator) of “Otocarti” utilizes patented technology from CCH Sound Co., Ltd.

About Cartilage Conduction
Cartilage conduction is often mistakenly regarded as a type of bone conduction, but its hearing mechanism, sound transmission properties, and characteristics are entirely different from bone conduction. Discovered in 2004 by Dr. Hiroshi Hosoi, Chairman and President of Nara Medical University, cartilage conduction represents a third auditory pathway, distinct from air conduction (sound transmitted through air vibration) and bone conduction (sound transmitted through bone vibration) which were previously known.

When the earphone part (cartilage conduction vibrator) vibrates the cartilage of the ear, sound is created within the external auditory canal. This sound then travels through the eardrum and middle ear to reach the cochlea. It differs from air conduction in that the sound source is created within the external auditory canal, and from bone conduction in that it does not require bone vibration.
