Vehicle Fun Launches Door-Equipped “Urban Triker” High-End EV Model
Vehicle Fun Inc., led by Representative Director and Head Tatsuro Matsubara, has announced the availability and commencement of sales for its popular high-end three-wheeled EV model, the “Urban Triker,” now featuring a door-equipped body. Initially, three colors—Chrome Yellow, White, and Clear Black—are available. The company plans to begin pre-orders for the remaining three colors, Metallic Silver, Chrome Red, and Ocean Blue Metallic, in the near future. This release responds to the growing demand for vehicles equipped with doors.
The “Urban Triker” stands as Vehicle Fun’s premium 100% electric three-wheeled EV mobility solution. It can be registered as a mini-car (single-seater) or a light motor vehicle with a sidecar (three-seater). Charging is convenient, utilizing standard household 100V outlets or 200V charging ports found in urban areas and shopping malls (J1772 standard). A single charge, costing approximately less than 200 yen, provides a range of about 150 km. Furthermore, the annual light vehicle tax is 3,600 yen, contributing to its economical operation.
Driving the “Urban Triker” requires a standard automobile license, and it does not require vehicle inspections or garage certifications, further reducing running costs. Its powerful and quiet ride is achieved through the adoption of in-wheel motors (2000W x 2) in the rear, enabling stress-free travel even on busy main roads. Equipped with two lithium-ion phosphate batteries, the “Urban Triker” can reach a top speed of 60 km/h, making highway travel possible.
Vehicle Fun aims to expand the market for its popular high-end “Urban Triker” model with the introduction of all available colors.
