Daytona Introduces “DT-E2”: Simplifying Motorcycle Intercom Communication

Daytona Corporation, based in Shizuoka Prefecture, has launched “DT-E2,” an entry-level model for its original intercom series, “DAYTONA TALK.” This new device aims to offer straightforward operation and uncompromised audio quality for motorcyclists.
Motorcycle intercoms have become an essential touring accessory. While the market offers a wide array of high-performance, multi-functional intercoms, their increasing complexity can often lead to difficulties in use. Daytona recognized this challenge and, drawing on the real-world touring experiences of its rider-developers and years of intercom development expertise, created the “DAYTONA TALK” series to provide easy-to-use communication solutions.
DT-E2: The “Just Right” Entry Model
The DT-E2 is the second product in the series, streamlining and carefully selecting features to create an intercom that is “just right” for riders. Its design prioritizes ease of use, featuring a body size and button layout that allows for natural, intuitive operation. Equipped with a high-performance Bluetooth chip and quality microphone and speakers, it supports stable, clear conversations for up to six people. The user-friendly software ensures that riders can start using the intercom without confusion right out of the box.
One-Button Pairing and Glove-Friendly Design

-
Pairing is simplified with a single button, allowing quick connection with fellow riders upon meeting, eliminating pre-departure hassle.
-
The device’s shape and button placement are specifically designed for operation with gloves. This design, informed by extensive intercom development knowledge and field tests by staff, ensures the body fits comfortably in hand and buttons are easily accessible.
Clear Conversations Against Wind Noise and Stable Six-Person Connection

-
The DT-E2 employs a MEMS microphone for clear voice transmission and a single diaphragm speaker for distinct audio. A high-output amplifier ensures conversations remain clear, even at high speeds with significant wind noise, allowing users to easily identify who is speaking.
-
Communication is powered by a Qualcomm QCC3095 Bluetooth 6.0 chip, a leading technology in the industry. This enables stable connections for up to six people, with automatic re-connection if communication is interrupted and devices come back into range.
Easy Settings via Dedicated App and Long-Lasting Battery

-
The “DAYTONA TALK” series supports a dedicated smartphone application available for both iOS and Android. This app allows users to confirm pairing methods, change various settings, and update firmware.
-
Equipped with a rechargeable lithium-ion battery, the DT-E2 offers over 12 hours of continuous use, providing reliability for long touring trips.
Compatibility with Other Intercoms

The DT-E2 is compatible with other DAYTONA TALK series models, including “DT-02,” “DT-01/01+,” and “DT-E1/E1+,” and also supports connections with intercoms from other manufacturers. This ensures riders can enjoy conversations with their companions regardless of their intercom brand.
