Hyogo, Japan – January 8, 2026 – Brownie shop, led by representative Chieko Katayama, has announced the successful conclusion of its Makuake crowdfunding campaign for the saltwater battery “GSOO.” The project significantly surpassed its funding goal, reaching 363% of the target with a total of 363,604 JPY raised.
The “GSOO” battery addresses the common challenge of power access during emergencies by generating electricity instantly using readily available saltwater solutions such as seawater, soy sauce, or sports drinks. This feature makes it a notable power source for situations where conventional charging is not possible.
