POCO X8 Pro Series: POCO X8 Pro Max and POCO X8 Pro Launched Globally

Xiaomi Japan has announced the global simultaneous launch of its latest models from the “POCO X8 Pro Series,” the POCO X8 Pro and POCO X8 Pro Max. These devices will be available starting March 17 (Tuesday) at 10 PM. To cater to diverse user requirements, the series introduces two models in Japan for the first time.

POCO X8 Pro Max Product Features

The POCO X8 Pro Max integrates an 8500mAh ultra-large capacity battery, which includes 16% silicon-carbon material for high energy density. This battery capacity, comparable to that of a tablet, is designed to provide extended usage. Users can expect up to 74 hours of continuous talk time, over 16 hours of continuous video calls, and 15 hours of continuous gaming. The device supports 100W HyperCharge, allowing it to reach 50% charge in just 24 minutes, and is compatible with the universal 100W PPS charging standard. The battery is engineered to maintain over 80% of its maximum capacity after 1,600 charge cycles, equivalent to approximately six years of typical use.

Additionally, the POCO X8 Pro Max offers 27W wired reverse charging, enabling it to power other devices on the go.

8500 mAh battery

Equipped with the Dimensity 9500s chipset, built on a second-generation 3nm manufacturing process, the POCO X8 Pro Max features an all-big-core design with a clock speed of up to 3.73GHz, enhancing performance, user experience, and power efficiency. For an optimized gaming experience, the device incorporates an ultra-large POCO 3D IceLoop cooling pump covering key heat sources and an 11,000mm² large graphite layer for heat dissipation. The WildBoost Optimization feature predicts computational load per frame to prevent frame drops, ensuring stable frame rates and low power consumption during demanding gameplay.

120Hz display

The POCO X8 Pro Max features a 6.83-inch large 1.5K (2772×1280 resolution) display with ultra-thin bezels (1.78mm at the bottom, 1.5mm on other three sides), providing an immersive visual experience. The M10 display panel achieves a peak brightness of 3500 nits while maintaining low power consumption, ensuring clear visuals even in bright outdoor conditions and contributing to longer battery life.

The POCO X8 Pro Max combines a robust fiberglass back panel with a high-strength metal frame, offering durability and lightness. It has received SGS certification for its resistance to drops, bends, and compression, and features IP68-rated water and dust resistance. The POCO X8 Pro series also includes a dynamic RGB light within the camera unit, offering eight selectable backlight effects for calls and app notifications, with pulse light effects that can synchronize with games or music. This design balances practicality with playful aesthetics.

For an enhanced user experience, the POCO X8 Pro Max introduces an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, allowing for faster setup and unlocking even with wet hands. It also features flagship-grade dual 1115F symmetrical stereo speakers, delivering a balanced soundstage and enhanced surround effects. Furthermore, the POCO X8 Pro Max supports eSIM, simplifying network connectivity by eliminating the need for physical SIM card changes.

The POCO X8 Pro is powered by the Dimensity 8500-Ultra chipset, manufactured using TSMC’s 4nm process. It features an all-big-core design with a high clock speed of up to 3.4GHz, achieving an AnTuTu V11 score of 2,283,558. This results in significant improvements in performance, user experience, and power consumption. The device includes a 5300mm² POCO 3D dual-layer IceLoop cooling system for exceptional thermal efficiency, effectively covering key heat sources and reducing SoC temperature by up to 3°C during heavy loads.

Despite its slim profile, the POCO X8 Pro incorporates a 6500mAh battery with 10% silicon-carbon content, providing extended battery life. Similar to the POCO X8 Pro Max, it supports the 100W PPS charging standard for broad compatibility with fast chargers and offers 27W wired reverse charging.

The POCO X8 Pro features a 6.59-inch 1.5K (2756×1268 resolution) M10 panel with a 3500 nits peak brightness, offering a comfortable fit. It includes flicker-free technology for natural screen dimming, 3840Hz high-frequency PWM dimming, and Circadian Eye Comfort mode to reduce eye strain during prolonged use. The POCO X8 Pro is designed with a premium metal frame and glass back panel, combining sophistication with durability. Like the Pro Max model, its camera unit features dynamic RGB lights, providing eight selectable backlight effects for notifications and pulse effects that sync with games or music.
