Charge Safely in Rain or Splashes! NESTOUT Outdoor Battery Dedicated Waterproof Charging Cap Now Available, Supporting IPX4 with Cable Inserted
Elecom Co., Ltd. has launched the “Charging Waterproof Cap CAP-1” for NESTOUT outdoor batteries, which allows for safe charging even when exposed to rain or water splashes. This new accessory is available from mid-April.
When combined with the NESTOUT outdoor battery series, this cap ensures waterproof performance even with a charging cable inserted. This provides peace of mind for charging in outdoor settings where sudden rain or splashes may occur.
Waterproofing with Cable Inserted
This charging waterproof cap is an optional accessory designed for the “NESTOUT” outdoor battery series, a brand specializing in outdoor products.
By using it with the NESTOUT outdoor battery series, users can maintain waterproof performance while charging with a cable inserted, even during sudden rainfall or in environments prone to water droplets such as fishing, camping, or car camping. This ensures safe charging in wet conditions.
It features JIS protection class (IPX4) waterproofing, allowing for safe use during sudden rain or splashes. (Note: This rating applies when the battery and cable are attached.)

The battery is not included and requires a separate NESTOUT outdoor battery (sold separately).

The charging cable is not included and must be prepared separately.

This product complies with JIS protection class (IPX4) but is not completely waterproof. It should not be submerged in water or used in heavy rain or severe weather conditions.

When the product and cable are attached to the battery, do not pull the cable to remove it, as this may damage the gasket.
Compatible Models and Installation Method
This cap is compatible with the DE-NEST-5000 series, DE-NEST-10000 series, and DE-NEST-15000 series.
Installation is simple: just remove the screw-type cap on the NESTOUT outdoor battery’s charging port and replace it with the new cap.
The batteries are compatible with general-purpose charging cables.
