Development Background

The Brezi development team was formed in California in 2022. Inspired by a coffee culture that values high-quality beans and their inherent flavors, a group of engineers leveraged their extensive knowledge in mechanical engineering and robotics to develop a unique cooling system. This led to the successful commercialization of the Brezi automatic low-temperature extractor, capable of producing authentic 5°C cold brew coffee in a mere 5 minutes, a first for the coffee industry.

Furthermore, Brezi has received international acclaim, winning three prestigious design awards: the A’ Design Award Gold (Italy), the iF Design Award (Germany), and the IDA International Design Award (USA).

Product Features

(1) Rapid 5°C Low-Temperature Extraction with Unique Technology

Unlike methods that use hot water extraction followed by chilling, Brezi focuses on maximizing the inherent flavor of coffee beans through authentic 5°C low-temperature extraction. By employing a unique warm blooming (steaming) process and water flow control system, Brezi reduces the typical 8-12 hour cold brew process to just 5-10 minutes.

(2) Five Versatile Extraction Modes

Brezi offers five extraction modes to cater to various preferences, whether one prefers hand-drip, cold brew, or café latte style coffee:

  • Regular: Produces a clean and easy-to-drink cold brew in approximately 10 minutes.

  • Concentrate: Delivers a rich flavor, similar to a “cold espresso,” in as little as 5 minutes.

  • Slow Drip: Recreates a smoother taste akin to specialty coffee shops (takes approximately 40 minutes to 1 hour).

  • Tea: Utilizes low-temperature extraction to draw out the natural umami of tea while suppressing bitterness (recommended for powdered tea).

  • Custom: Allows advanced users to personalize flavors to their liking, offering a world of customization.

(3) Compact Design, Intuitive Operation, and Easy Maintenance

Despite its multiple extraction modes and high-performance cooling system, Brezi boasts a super-compact design with a width of just 9cm, making it suitable for small kitchens or desks. Operation is intuitive, requiring only a dial and touch selections, eliminating the need for an app. Cleaning is also simple: detach the magnetic, stainless steel dripper and rinse it. This design ensures a simple and stress-free daily coffee routine.

Comments from Top Baristas

  • Narumi Sato, Representative and Roaster at Belleville Brûlerie TOKYO: “Typically, cold brew coffee is characterized by a thick texture, mellow sweetness, and richness, but its aroma tends to be subdued. However, cold brew extracted with Brezi maintains an aromatic profile similar to drip coffee while offering an impressive texture and mellow taste. Its simple parts and operation make it easy for anyone to enjoy delicious cold brew coffee.”

  • Gabriel Pezzaioli, 2024 Italian Brewers Cup Champion: “Cold brew is recommended year-round, regardless of the season. With Brezi, it’s incredibly easy and enjoyable – all you need is coffee, water, and a few minutes. A smooth, blissful moment awaits.”
