According to a survey for fiscal year 2026 published by the Ministry of the Environment in March 2026, Japan’s household waste generation amounts to 21.17 million tons annually, with an average of 466g per person per day.

  • Press the button for automatic processing: The device automatically performs drying, crushing, and cooling according to the amount and moisture content of the food waste. No complex settings are required; the basic operation involves simply placing the waste in the unit and pressing a button.
  • Remove dried waste the next morning: After processing, the moisture and volume of the food waste are reduced, leaving fine dried material. Processing overnight allows for a fresh start in the kitchen the next morning.

Processing time varies from approximately 2 to 8 hours depending on the input amount, type of food, moisture content, and usage environment.

Moisture contained in food waste is heated and dried, then finely crushed. Internal tests confirmed a maximum reduction of approximately 96%, with 1,220g of food waste before processing reducing to 48.8g afterward. This reduction in volume and weight of food waste helps minimize trash bag usage and lighten the burden of waste disposal.

Results are based on internal tests. The reduction rate varies depending on the type, moisture content, amount of input, and usage environment.

To address concerns about odors during food waste processing, a dual deodorization system combining an ozone deodorization function and an activated carbon filter has been adopted. Ozone targets and breaks down odor sources, while the activated carbon filter adsorbs remaining odors. This suppresses the unique smells of food waste that tend to occur during drying, leading to a more comfortable kitchen environment.
