Fire-Resistant Specifications for the Opening, a Common Weakness in Fireproof Pouches

Many storage bags made from fire-resistant or flame-retardant materials combine zippers and hook-and-loop fasteners to compensate for the weaknesses of ordinary zippers. However, hook-and-loop fasteners can be noisy when opening and closing, making them inconvenient for daily use.

To address this, the BOOMIE Fireproof Pouch adopts industrial fire-resistant zippers in addition to its main fabric. This design allows for opening and closing solely with a zipper, prioritizing both daily usability and fire resistance up to the opening.

Fabric Flammability Test Confirms 0 Seconds Residual Flame, 0 Seconds Residual Glow, and 0 cm² Carbonized Area

Flammability tests were conducted on the fabric used in this product by an independent third-party organization, Boken Quality Evaluation Institute. Residual flame time indicates how long the test piece continued to burn with a flame after heating ceased, and residual glow time indicates how long red heat persisted after the flame extinguished. The tests confirmed a residual flame time of 0 seconds, a residual glow time of 0 seconds, and a carbonized area of 0 cm².

These results indicate that under specified test conditions, no flame or red heat persisted after the heat source was removed, and the carbonized area of the test piece was 0 cm². In addition, the company conducted its own verification during product development using a 1,500°C burner flame.

Structure Layered with LSR Coating, Glass Fiber, and Heat-Shielding Aluminum Foil

The exterior is made of glass fiber with LSR (Liquid Silicone Rubber) coating, and the interior is layered with high-density glass fiber cloth and heat-shielding aluminum foil. The surface is water-repellent, designed to repel water droplets, and uses a material that is non-slip when held.
