HotaluX Launches New ‘HotaluX LIFE’ Ceiling Light Series for Enhanced Daily Comfort
HotaluX, a domestic lighting manufacturer, has announced the renewal of its “Comfort Light Ceiling” series, launching it as the new ‘HotaluX LIFE’ series. This new lineup, comprising six models, is set to be released on September 25, 2026. The series aims to enhance the quality of life by automatically controlling the light environment throughout the day, from waking to sleeping.

With increased time spent at home and diversified lifestyles in recent years, there is a growing interest in creating comfortable living spaces. Beyond just brightness and energy efficiency, there is an expanding demand for lighting environments tailored to daily life. 1. “Comfort Light Mode” for Natural Awakening
The new series incorporates a “Comfort Light Mode” that programs optimal brightness and light color according to the time of day, based on joint research with Yamagata University. With a single button, it automatically controls the light environment for the entire day. For awakening, the light gradually brightens, transitioning from a night light to warm white, cool white, and then daylight, mimicking the natural rise of the sun. This evolved mode, incorporating feedback from users of the previous “Comfort Light Ceiling,” is designed to provide a gentler awakening.
2. “Tranquility Mode” for Pre-sleep Relaxation
HotaluX’s unique “Hotalook function” has evolved. Empirical studies at Yamagata University have confirmed that the blue-green light of the “Hotalook function” has a “calming effect.” By illuminating with blue-green light for 30 minutes, it creates a relaxing atmosphere before sleep. The brightness is moderate, providing a comfortable, soothing light to aid in falling asleep. The Hotalook function also illuminates faintly with blue-green light for about 2-3 minutes after turning off and acts as a reassuring emergency light during sudden power outages, provided the main power (wall switch) is ON.

3. Two Types of “Flicker Functions” for a Comfortable Space
The series features two types of flicker functions: “Natural flicker,” which emulates the gentle sway of a candle flame or water surface, and “Breathing flicker,” which synchronizes with the rhythm of breathing. These functions are available in daylight, cool white, warm white, and also with auxiliary lighting. They create a comfortable ambiance for relaxation or a change of pace.
4. New Design Balancing Brightness and Energy Saving
By adopting high-efficiency LED chips and HotaluX’s unique light distribution design (micro-pattern lens structure), the new models achieve maximum brightness (within the applicable wattage display standard) while reducing power consumption by approximately 15% compared to previous 2022 models. When compared to fluorescent ceiling lights, this represents an approximate 60% reduction in power consumption.
5. Abundant and Convenient Timer Functions
The series is equipped with a variety of timer functions for daily life. These include an “Wake-up timer” to support natural awakening (evolved to gradually change light color from night light to warm white, cool white, then daylight), a “Sleep timer” for convenient automatic shut-off before sleep, an “Away timer” that simulates presence for security purposes, and a “Reservation timer” to set specific ON/OFF times. The liquid crystal remote control with pictograms allows for quick visual confirmation of the operating status.
