In fiber optic networks, signals are transmitted from a light source through cables. The LAN-HTST-LS01 light source emits optical signals, while a separately sold power meter, such as the LAN-TCT7100, measures the loss of the received signal. This combination allows for comprehensive testing of fiber optic cable performance.

Dual Wavelengths and Quad Frequencies
The LAN-HTST-LS01 supports multi-mode 850nm and 1300nm wavelengths. It can output four modulation frequencies: CW (0Hz), 270Hz, 1kHz, and 2kHz, providing versatility for various testing requirements.
Interface Compatibility
The device comes with adapters for FC and SC connectors, ensuring compatibility with a wide range of interfaces. An optional LC conversion adapter (HAD-FCLC-50) is available for LC connectors.
Power Management Features
Convenient power management features are integrated, including a battery level indicator and an auto power-off function, which can be toggled on or off to conserve battery life.
Immediate Operation
The device is ready for use immediately upon power-on, eliminating warm-up times and allowing for efficient testing.
