Addressing Rising Security Concerns

Recent years have seen an increase in incidents such as special fraud and illegal intrusions, leading to heightened public awareness of crime prevention. According to research conducted by Panasonic, 76.3% of individuals feel their home security measures are inadequate. Furthermore, 28.1% of respondents have experienced anxiety or fear due to unknown individuals being on their property or within their apartment complex. The most frequently cited area for desired security enhancement is the “entrance” at 41.0%, followed by “windows,” “balconies,” and “parking lots.”

Advanced AI Features for Enhanced Security

The VL-X70 series integrates edge AI for face recognition and IoT connectivity to provide comprehensive home monitoring support and daily usability. The AI face recognition feature allows the system to identify registered family members or acquaintances, enabling automatic message responses tailored to their registered information. For unregistered visitors, the system automatically records footage and prompts them for their business. Users can also play pre-recorded voices for specific scenarios, such as a parent’s voice responding to a child returning home in their absence, which can deter suspicious individuals.

AI Home Front Security

The series includes “loitering detection” and “premises detection” functions to enhance security around the home. The “loitering detection” function uses AI to identify individuals who remain in a set area for approximately 30 seconds, triggering automatic recording. The “premises detection” function detects entry into a designated area, initiating automatic recording and emitting an audible warning from the door station. Simultaneously, notifications are sent to the main monitor unit and registered smartphones, providing robust support for crime prevention.

Seamless IoT Integration for Convenience

With an internet connection, the dedicated “Doorphone Connect S” app allows users to view live video and respond to visitors in real-time, even when away from home. By combining AI face recognition with smartphone Bluetooth® authentication, users can unlock electric locks hands-free simply by approaching the door with their smartphone. Notifications are also sent to the smartphone upon electric lock unlocking, enabling family members’ return to be confirmed. The ability to connect one smartphone to two main monitor units allows for monitoring the situation of family members living separately.
