Xiaomi Store Celebrates Grand Opening in Kansai

Xiaomi Japan announced the grand opening of its first store in the Kansai area, “Xiaomi Store Aeon Mall Tsurumi Ryokuchi,” on Saturday, March 7, 2026. The new store, located in Aeon Mall Tsurumi Ryokuchi, held an opening ceremony to commemorate this milestone.

About Xiaomi Store Aeon Mall Tsurumi Ryokuchi

The Xiaomi Store Aeon Mall Tsurumi Ryokuchi is the first of its kind in the Kansai region. Following the design concept of the five existing Xiaomi Stores in the Kanto area, the new store offers over 200 products. Customers can experience and purchase products previously only available online, including the latest models such as the “Leica Leitzphone powered by Xiaomi” and “Xiaomi 17 Ultra,” which were launched on March 5.

This opening aligns with Xiaomi’s mission to provide a “smart life for everyone,” a goal announced last March in collaboration with Aeon Mall. The store aims to enrich customers’ lives through the concept of a smart home.

The opening ceremony commenced with an MC’s greeting, drawing a large number of media representatives and fans who gathered to celebrate the debut of the Xiaomi Store in Kansai.

Mr. Oka, General Manager of Aeon Mall Tsurumi Ryokuchi, extended his congratulations on the store’s opening. He expressed his pleasure that Aeon Mall could host a venue where customers can see, touch, and experience Xiaomi’s cutting-edge technology. Mr. Oka noted that this opening is a significant step towards delivering new value and experiences to the local community, especially as the mall celebrates its 20th anniversary and undergoes a major renovation this year.

Mr. Lu expressed his delight in opening the first Xiaomi Store in Kansai, acknowledging the numerous requests received from the region since Xiaomi Store’s expansion in Japan last year. He encouraged visitors to experience Xiaomi’s ecosystem within the store, which features a wide range of products including smartphones and smart home appliances.

Tape-Cutting Ceremony

The ceremony concluded with a celebratory tape-cutting. Participants included Mr. Ayumi Oka, General Manager of Aeon Mall Tsurumi Ryokuchi; Mr. Lu Xiaolu, President of Xiaomi Japan; Mr. Akihiko Adachi, Head of Product Planning at Xiaomi Japan; Ms. Rina Shino, Head of Xiaomi Store at Xiaomi Japan; and a dedicated Xiaomi fan. A round of applause erupted as the Xiaomi Store Aeon Mall Tsurumi Ryokuchi was officially declared open.
