Key Features of the nRF54LS05A and nRF54LS05B
Both the nRF54LS05A and nRF54LS05B integrate a 128MHz Arm® Cortex®-M33 processor with low-leakage RAM, providing efficient and responsive processing for compact, ultra-low power wireless designs. They feature Nordic’s fourth-generation Bluetooth LE radio and essential security functionalities. The devices also offer pin-to-pin compatibility with specific SoCs within the series, allowing for easy scalability with minimal design adjustments.
Developers can benefit from support for the Bare Metal option in the nRF Connect SDK and a smooth migration path from the nRF52 Series, accelerating development and facilitating the transition to the new nRF54L Series architecture. Both SoCs include 0.5MB of Non-Volatile Memory (NVM). The nRF54LS05A is equipped with 64KB RAM, while the nRF54LS05B offers an expanded 96KB RAM for applications requiring additional memory.
Comprehensive Bluetooth Solutions
These entry-level Bluetooth LE SoCs provide access to a fully functional and certified Bluetooth LE stack, enabling robust and reliable communication with industry-leading interoperability. Nordic’s long-standing contributions to Bluetooth standards underscore the reliability of its technology, trusted by developers globally.
The extensive Nordic development ecosystem further supports development with powerful software tools like the nRF Connect SDK, comprehensive documentation, and online educational resources. Additionally, Nordic’s nRF Cloud service extends the value of the nRF Connect SDK by offering secure and scalable firmware updates and device management from chip to cloud, supporting large-scale product deployments.
The nRF54L Series
The nRF54LS05A and nRF54LS05B are part of Nordic’s next-generation nRF54L Series of ultra-low power multiprotocol SoCs. This series features a new 2.4GHz multiprotocol radio and a 128MHz Arm Cortex-M33 MCU, supporting key wireless protocols including Bluetooth LE, Matter, Thread, Zigbee, and 2.4GHz proprietary modes. The series offers scalable memory configurations, extensive analog and digital interfaces, and advanced security features, providing high performance and integration for a wide range of single-chip product developments.
