Strengthening Leadership in the North Asian Market
InMobi, a global technology company, has announced a significant reinforcement of its management structure in Japan and South Korea. Arjun Sarwal, an industry veteran with over 20 years of experience in the technology sector, has been appointed as Senior Vice President and General Manager for Japan and South Korea. Based in Tokyo, Sarwal will oversee InMobi’s advertising business and lead the Glance agentic commerce platform operations in both markets.

Focusing on “Agentic Commerce”
This strategic appointment reflects the company’s commitment to “agentic commerce,” an AI-driven approach that assists consumers in discovering, evaluating, and purchasing products. By moving beyond traditional search-based shopping, Glance leverages AI to proactively suggest products on high-visibility surfaces like smartphone lock screens.
Japan, recognized for its mature mobile market and high consumer expectations, is positioned as a key hub for InMobi’s AI strategy. The company plans to deepen partnerships with mobile carriers, device manufacturers, and media entities to expand these experiences.
Strategic Vision and Growth
Glance has already achieved significant traction in Japan through its partnership with SoftBank Corp., with its services integrated into flagship devices such as the Galaxy S26 series and AQUOS R10. Looking ahead, the company intends to extend these experiences beyond smartphones to connected TVs (CTV) and other digital touchpoints.
Naveen Tewari, Founder and CEO of InMobi and Glance, emphasized the company’s commitment to the region: “Japan has set global standards for quality and customer experience. With Arjun’s deep understanding of the market and proven leadership, we are well-positioned to scale Glance and build valuable AI experiences for people.”
Arjun Sarwal, regarding his new role, stated: “Our approach is based on two principles: delivering thoughtful, proactive experiences for consumers—a ‘digital omotenashi’—and true co-creation with our partners. By combining Glance’s agentic commerce capabilities with InMobi’s advertising expertise, we aim to redefine how consumers discover products and how brands engage with their audience.”
