GROOVE X Inc., a robotics venture based in Tokyo, has announced its participation in the “Cosmos Coalition,” a global community dedicated to advancing NVIDIA Cosmos 3, an open foundational model for physical AI. The Cosmos Coalition brings together robotics companies, AI companies, and research institutions worldwide to promote the development of open models that will serve as a common foundation for next-generation physical AI.
GROOVE X will leverage the expertise cultivated through the development and operation of its family-type robot, ‘LOVOT,’ to further strengthen its collaboration with the global AI community. Currently, approximately 20,000 ‘LOVOT’ units live with their owners in real-world environments. This has led to the accumulation of extensive insights into human-robot coexistence, including natural human-robot distance, behavior prediction, safe interaction, and emotional engagement.

While current products will continue to feature 16GB of memory, the 8GB of surplus resources created by this optimization will be utilized to implement additional features and enhance system functionality.
