What is the Brass Collection?

The collection transforms KiLEY’s signature items into brass versions:

Eye Light Brass Models (LM-016 / LM-017)
Coin Reflector Brass Model (LM-019)

The fundamental specifications, such as light output, charging methods, and mounting options, remain identical to the conventional aluminum models. This ensures that the ease of daily use and practicality are retained, with the only change being the material to brass.

The Reason for Brass

The concept of producing these items in brass has existed for several years. Brass is a material that changes color and texture over time, deepening its character with use. It is a material that “grows” with its owner, rather than being considered complete at the point of purchase.

However, KiLEY’s primary products, the lights, are rechargeable. Batteries have a finite lifespan and eventually require replacement or the purchase of a new unit. The challenge lay in reconciling “a material that ages beautifully” with “electronic devices that have a limited lifespan.”

The turning point came with the introduction of domestic battery replacement services for some key models (LM-016 / LM-017 / V2F) starting in 2025. This development established the premise for long-term use of the light body, finally making it possible to realize the concept of brass as a material that evolves over time.

The Special Feel of Brass, Completed Over Time

The surface finish of this collection is intentionally designed to allow for natural aging. The color and texture of the brass will vary depending on the user, usage patterns, and environment, creating a truly unique appearance for each piece. The product is not considered complete at the time of purchase; rather, it evolves and becomes complete over time. This transformative quality is a major appeal of brass as a material.

Given the individualized nature of these products, and their status as a one-time limited production, each item in the Brass Collection is engraved with a unique serial number.

Limited Production Model

While brass offers superior aesthetics and tactile quality, it presents challenges in material management and involves higher manufacturing processes and raw material costs. Due to these factors, the Brass Collection (LM-016 / LM-017 / LM-019) is being produced as a one-time limited edition.

This collection is a one-time limited production, with shipments divided into two batches:

First Batch: Already in stock and available at KiLEY authorized dealers.
Second Batch: Scheduled for late March, this batch will be available for general sale, including purchases through the KiLEY Official Shop.
