  • Speaker: Noriyuki Kobayashi (Sales & Marketing Account Manager)

  • Title: Beyond Connectivity: Memfault’s nRF Cloud Enables Secure, Visible, and Easy Maintenance

  • Content: This presentation will highlight how nRF Cloud, powered by Memfault, assists developers in meeting global security requirements and maintaining detailed device-level visibility post-deployment. It will cover how performance monitoring, crash analysis, and reliable Over-The-Air (OTA) updates can enhance product quality, accelerate field issue resolution, and improve customer satisfaction without adding complexity or cost to the development workflow.

Key Exhibits (Planned)

nRF54LM20B System-on-Chip with NPU

The new nRF54LM20B System-on-Chip (SoC) features an integrated Neural Processing Unit (NPU) with large memory capacity. This NPU is designed to process TensorFlow Lite-class AI models up to 15 times faster than execution on Arm® Cortex® CPUs, significantly reducing energy consumption. It offers up to 7 times higher performance and 8 times greater energy efficiency compared to its closest competitor’s Edge AI solutions. This enables practical implementation of Edge AI workloads such as high-frequency sensor data processing, audio analysis, and event-driven AI processing in small, battery-powered devices.

nRF Cloud powered by Memfault

nRF Cloud powered by Memfault is an integrated platform for device observability, management, and location services. It allows developers to monitor, manage, and update devices with high levels of ease. The platform directly integrates Memfault’s observability and OTA update infrastructure into Nordic’s nRF Cloud service. It provides remote diagnostics, fleet health monitoring, and secure OTA updates. This solution supports Nordic’s nRF91 Series cellular IoT modules, as well as nRF54, nRF53, and nRF52 Series multiprotocol wireless SoCs. It offers simple integration and can be scaled from free initial use.

nRF93M1 LTE Cat 1 bis Module

The new low-power nRF93M1 LTE Cat 1 bis module expands Nordic’s long-range portfolio with LTE Cat 1 bis connectivity. It provides fully compatible regional and global module options, facilitating large-scale and reliable IoT deployments. With an nRF54L host MCU reference design, evaluation kit, and open documentation, enterprises can achieve quick startup, easy integration, and a smooth transition from prototype to mass production. Its ultra-low power design enables battery-powered devices to operate for several years in the field. The module’s optimized standard interfaces and peripherals also simplify integration into new and existing system designs.

nRF54LS05A and nRF54LS05B Bluetooth LE SoCs

The new entry-level, ultra-low-power nRF54LS05A and nRF54LS05B products can be used as the main wireless SoCs in single-chip systems or as Bluetooth LE companion devices in multi-chip systems. These devices leverage Nordic’s Bluetooth LE technology and are optimized for the development of simple, cost-effective Bluetooth LE products. Equipped with robust Bluetooth LE connectivity, ultra-low power consumption, and user-friendly software, they are suitable for simple applications such as sensors, tags, beacons, remote controls, and PC peripherals.

Nordic Fuel Gauge v2.0

Nordic Fuel Gauge v2.0 represents a significant update to the high-precision software-based battery state management solution for nPM1300 and nPM1304 Power Management ICs. This version adds advanced State-of-Health (SoH) estimation, adaptive battery models, and long-term fleet analysis, extending sophisticated battery management to a wide range of power-constrained IoT products. Nordic Fuel Gauge v2.0 aims to assist manufacturers in developing more reliable, sustainable, and long-lasting products, while also addressing evolving battery replacement regulations, such as the EU Battery Regulation (2023/1542), which mandates easy removal and replacement by end-users throughout a product’s lifetime. This update is designed to help manufacturers determine appropriate battery replacement times, support the “Right to Repair” movement, and improve product reliability while reducing warranty costs.

Aliro and Matter-enabled Access Control Systems Reference Design

A new reference design for secure and interoperable access control solutions for commercial and residential facilities, utilizing Aliro and Matter, will be presented. Aliro, developed by the Connectivity Standards Alliance (CSA), offers secure mobile credentials that function independently of reader type, device, or manufacturer. It supports Bluetooth® Low Energy, Ultra-Wideband (UWB), and Near Field Communication (NFC), providing developers with flexible technology choices.
