Deff Corporation, the official distributor in Japan, has announced the general availability of the PhotoPower Plus (model: PF-PP01), a multi-functional charging adapter for smartphones manufactured by PhotoFast (Taiwan). The product began pre-sales on April 17, 2026, through Deff DIRECT STORE (official website), Rakuten, and Amazon, with general retail availability expected in late May 2026.

The PhotoPower Plus previously saw significant success on the crowdfunding platform Makuake, achieving a total of 11,817,090 JPY in support, with 928 backers and an impressive 5,908% of its funding goal. This strong market response has led to its formal general release.

Automatic Photo and Video Backup While Charging

As smartphone camera capabilities advance, the file sizes of photos and videos continue to grow. Cloud storage solutions like iCloud and Google Drive often involve recurring monthly fees, and there is an inherent risk in not having data stored locally.

PhotoPower Plus addresses these challenges. By simply plugging it into a power outlet, it begins charging the smartphone while simultaneously and automatically backing up photos and videos to a microSD card. After the initial setup with the dedicated “PhotoFast ONE” app, no further operation is required. This system offers a way to preserve precious memories locally without monthly fees or an internet connection.

45W PD Rapid Charging
The device plugs directly into AC100-240V outlets. It supports up to 45W (PD3.0) rapid charging, suitable for smartphones and even laptop computers.
Automatic Backup & Data Organization
In conjunction with the dedicated app, backup automatically resumes from where it left off each time the device is charged. Upon completion, photos and videos are automatically organized into year and month folders, eliminating the need to manually search for them later. It supports both iOS and Android, making it suitable for shared use among family members.
USB 3.2 Compatible High-Speed Card Reader
When connected to a PC’s USB Type-C port, it functions as a high-speed card reader supporting USB 3.2 standard with a theoretical maximum transfer speed of 5Gbps. This allows for quick transfer of media captured on a smartphone directly to a PC.

“EcoCharge” Mode for Battery Longevity

Rapid charging can place a high load on batteries, potentially leading to long-term degradation. The PhotoPower Plus includes an “EcoCharge” (low-voltage charging) mode, which reduces heat generation during charging and lessens the burden on the battery. This feature is optimally designed for users who charge and back up their devices every night.

Customizable Capacity with Replaceable microSD Cards

The PhotoPower Plus features a microSD card slot, supporting cards up to 2TB (exFAT format). When a card becomes full, it can simply be replaced with another, offering effectively unlimited storage capacity. Bundle sales with microSD cards are also available.
