Quick Share AirDrop Compatibility

The Quick Share feature, which allows for fast, secure, and easy sharing of files like photos, videos, and documents between Samsung Galaxy devices, now supports AirDrop. This expansion includes the Samsung Galaxy S25 | S25 Ultra, Samsung Galaxy S24 | S24 Ultra, Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7 | Z Flip7, and Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 | Z Flip6, in addition to the Samsung Galaxy S26 series.

Previously, Quick Share enabled Bluetooth-based push notifications only for Android devices. With this update, it now facilitates data sharing with iOS mobile devices via Bluetooth, similar to Android. This eliminates previous limitations on file count and size when sharing via QR codes or links, enabling more comfortable sending and receiving.

Advanced Photo Assist with Galaxy AI

The upgraded Photo Assist feature allows users to edit images using text-based AI instructions. For instance, users can instruct the AI to change a daytime scene to a nighttime one, add elements to an image, or naturally complement and restore missing parts of a subject, such as a bitten cake. Furthermore, new Galaxy AI capabilities enable users to modify clothing within a photo, for example, to remove stains. The ability to review results in a list and perform continuous edits makes the editing process easier, allowing for simple corrections or undo actions at any point.

Creative Studio for Stamp Generation

Creative Studio now allows users to generate and save stamp sets for use in messages and photo editing. It also supports the creation of invitations, profile cards, and wallpapers, expanding the possibilities for daily creative expression.

One UI 8.5 Compatible Models and Software Update Schedule

au Starlink Direct Expands SIM-Free Device Compatibility

With the expansion of One UI 8.5 compatible models, six new products will be added to au Starlink Direct’s SIM-free device lineup (requiring an au SIM application), bringing the total to 18 products. The newly added au Starlink Direct SIM-free compatible devices are:

  • Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5 | Z Flip5

  • Samsung Galaxy S24 FE

  • Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra

  • Samsung Galaxy A36 5G

  • Samsung Galaxy A25 5G

  • These devices are expected to be available from mid-June 2026 onwards. An au SIM application is required for use. The actual availability schedule will be posted sequentially on the following website:
