Background of the Project
In recent years, the number of criminal offenses recognized by the Japanese Penal Code has shifted from a long-term decline to an increase since 2022. This trend has led to heightened public concern regarding everyday issues such as fraud and street crimes. As societal interactions return to pre-pandemic levels, re-evaluating security awareness has become a critical topic for both households and businesses. Security cameras are recognized as an effective means to deter crime, record incidents, and contribute to the creation of a secure living environment. This project aims to introduce a next-generation security solution that is accessible and easy for anyone to adopt.
About the “LMi” Smart Camera
The “LMi” is designed to be a “stick-on” security camera, emphasizing ease of installation and a “triple deterrence” system incorporating light, sound, and monitoring.
The LMi combines a sensor light with an outdoor security camera, offering enhanced monitoring capabilities, especially in low-light conditions.
During nighttime, the camera emits a blue light, indicating active monitoring.

Future Developments
Following the success of the project, SREE aims to begin product shipments as early as the end of April 2026, aligning with the “New Life Support 2026” initiative.
The long-term vision for the LMi is to establish it as a new category of home appliance. The product was developed by focusing on the three principles of security: “light,” “sound,” and “monitoring,” aiming for a security camera form factor that seamlessly integrates into daily life. Continued efforts will be made towards quality improvement and enhancement. After the project’s successful completion, plans include exhibition and sales at major national electronics retailers and home centers.
