In recent years, while hybrid earphones have become the market mainstream, products focusing solely on full BA configurations have seen a decline. However, there remains a strong demand for the unique sound characteristics of full BA drivers, known for their “purity,” “excellent consistency,” and precise detail reproduction. The “Armature Art 12” was developed to meet this demand, pushing the potential of full BA drivers to their limits with a new design philosophy centered on “purity.”

4+4+4 Balanced 3-Way Configuration
The XTM series avoids simply increasing driver count. The AA12 prioritizes uniform energy distribution and seamless connectivity across all frequencies, employing an equal “4+4+4” 3-way configuration with four drivers allocated to each of the low, mid, and high frequency ranges. This design integrates custom 4-in-1 BA drivers with high-precision 3D-printed structures to achieve both compactness and exceptional sound reproduction.
Optimized BA Modules for Each Band
All 12 drivers per side feature dedicated modules and new materials to maximize the potential of each frequency band.
- 4-in-1 Large-Diameter Low-Frequency Module: Equipped with four custom stainless steel diaphragm BA drivers with open rear chambers. An integrated sealed port controls sound pressure characteristics, resulting in excellent transient response and deep bass.
- 2-in-1 Composite Mid-Frequency BA Driver: Two groups of 2-in-1 composite custom BA drivers (total four drivers) incorporate Al-Mg alloy diaphragms, which are lighter and more rigid than traditional aluminum. A Y-shaped sound guide tube ensures beautiful mixing, delivering a clear, rich, and full mid-range.
- 4-in-1 High-Frequency Module: Features micro Al-Mg alloy diaphragms. The BA sealing method allows for precise control of high-frequency consistency, providing silky and accurate high-frequency detail without harshness.
Full-Band Phase Alignment and Meticulous Tuning
Designed and adjusted by MOONDROP’s experienced development team, the “Armature Art 12” achieves high phase consistency across all frequency bands through rigorous objective measurements. This ensures more accurate localization and natural reproduction of harmonics. The extensive experience and technical expertise accumulated over years of developing multi-driver earphones have been applied to overcome various challenges in this full BA configuration. Furthermore, continuous subjective evaluation and objective measurement tuning are performed to pursue a natural and realistic tonal expression.

The high complexity of the XTM series’ acoustic structure demands exceptional precision and reliability from 3D printing technology. MOONDROP has forged a long-term strategic partnership with HeyGears, a leading 3D printing company. Through meticulous adjustments of high-precision DLP-3D printing technology, MOONDROP has successfully achieved the mass production of these intricate and highly accurate structures.
0.78mm 2Pin Re-cable Design & High-Quality Mix Cable Included
The “Armature Art 12” adopts a 0.78mm 2Pin re-cable design, allowing for expansion with MOONDROP’s Bluetooth modules such as “EVO” and “FreeDSP Pro.” The standard included cable utilizes Litz-structured high-purity copper. The plug section features a premium screw-lock interchangeable structure, enabling users to easily switch between 3.5mm single-ended and 4.4mm balanced plugs to suit different scenarios.
ddHiFi “ST35” Medical Grade Silicone Ear Tips Included
The product comes standard with ddHiFi’s “ST35” ear tips in S/M/L sizes. These ear tips are made from two-color medical-grade silicone using a double-molding process and feature an extremely fine, skin-friendly coating on the surface, ensuring a comfortable and stress-free wearing experience. In terms of sound quality, they maintain the original sound characteristics while clearly bringing out the contours of each sound.
