INMO, the World’s No.1 AI Smart Glasses Brand, Launches “INMO GO3” in Japan
INMO Japan Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Representative: Yohei Nomura), a company specializing in AI x AR smart glasses, held a product launch event on July 16, 2026, ahead of the Japan debut of its latest model, “INMO GO3.”
The event featured a brand and product introduction for “INMO,” alongside a hands-on preview where attendees experienced real-time bidirectional translation, AI teleprompter, and AI meeting support. Many participants experienced “smart glasses for everyday use” that provide quick access to necessary information within their natural field of vision, without repeatedly looking down at a smartphone.

During the presentation, INMO emphasized its goal of creating “practical wearable AI devices” that can be naturally integrated into daily life—for work, travel, commuting, and conversations—rather than merely smart glasses that “generate surprise at exhibitions.” Japan was positioned as one of the most important markets, with a strategy to build the brand long-term through creating experience opportunities and collecting user feedback, rather than focusing solely on short-term sales. This approach acknowledges Japan’s high demands for wearability, design, reliability, and privacy.
Pre-orders for “INMO GO3” began on July 17 (Friday) and the product secured the No. 1 position in Yodobashi.com’s “Smart Glasses Bestseller Ranking” as of July 23, 2026, 7:36 AM. The ranking is subject to change. The official release is scheduled for July 30 (Thursday).
Event Highlights
A key feature of the launch event was the demonstration of “INMO GO3” functions in real-world business scenarios. Presenters utilized the AI teleprompter function to deliver their presentations while maintaining eye contact with the audience.

Furthermore, the bidirectional translation feature was showcased during an exchange between a Chinese-speaking INMO headquarters staff member and a Japanese-speaking production staff member. Feedback indicated the feature was highly effective, with comments such as “it was so useful, we couldn’t do without it,” highlighting its practicality in business settings.
The bidirectional translation of “INMO GO3” displays the other person’s speech as translated subtitles within the glasses, while the wearer’s speech is delivered to the other person as translated audio via the attached speakers. A key differentiator from existing products is its ability to support two-way communication even if only one person wears the smart glasses. Presenters shared specific experiences, such as overcoming language barriers during business trips for negotiations, shopping, and dining, conveying the real-world value beyond mere specifications.

Media representatives posed numerous questions regarding future market outlook and business development, including sales targets for the Japanese market, SDK provision, and partnerships with tourism operators. INMO explained its strategy to expand sales channels and corporate collaborations by continuously building awareness and trust in Japan through ongoing experience opportunities, offline events, and user feedback collection. It was also stated that the SDK has already been provided to some partners, with plans for utilization in the tourism sector, such as airport rentals, integration into travel tours, and multilingual guides in hotels and museums, as well as service development tailored for corporate and institutional use.
