ECOVACS Unveils New WINBOT W2S PRO OMNI and WINBOT W2S PRO Window Cleaning Robots

ECOVACS JAPAN Co., Ltd., a global manufacturer of household robots, has announced the launch of the latest models in its “WINBOT” series of window cleaning robots: the “WINBOT W2S PRO OMNI” and “WINBOT W2S PRO.” Both models are scheduled for release on Friday, August 21, 2026.

These new window cleaning robots are designed to provide extensive cleaning performance and ease of use, reaching every corner of windows. They incorporate advanced “TruEdge 2.0” edge cleaning technology to ensure thorough cleaning right up to the window frame. Additionally, the “3-way Nozzle Spray Technology” utilizes three nozzles to spray water over a wide area, efficiently removing dirt from glass surfaces.

The robots are equipped with “WIN-SLAM 4.0” to optimize cleaning routes and offer various cleaning modes tailored to different window types and scenarios. They can handle a wide range of glass surfaces, from large to small windows, and even frameless windows. A multi-layered protection system, combining hardware and software, is also integrated for enhanced safety.

The “WINBOT W2S PRO OMNI” model further includes a versatile OMNI station, designed to simplify the entire window cleaning process, from preparation to tidying up. It features a “2-in-1 composite cable” that integrates the safety rope and power cord, an automatic cable storage function, and a large-capacity battery, making it suitable for window cleaning in locations where power sources are not readily available.

1. “TruEdge 2.0” and “3-way Nozzle Spray Technology” for Comprehensive Window Cleaning

The enhanced “TruEdge 2.0” edge cleaning technology is a core feature. It utilizes a unique “Radial Edge Lock Structure” (eight-directional radial brush arrangement) that allows brushes to reach the very edge of windows, ensuring thorough cleaning up to the window frame. High-density felt brushes, known for their durability and absorbency, efficiently remove stubborn dirt, rain streaks, and accumulated dust. Combined with a “Dual-axis Edge Detection System” that detects window frames on both inner and outer axes, and a “Dynamic Lift & Run Mechanism” that automatically raises and lowers the side brushes, the robots achieve stable movement with reduced snagging.

Furthermore, the “3-way Nozzle Spray Technology” achieves up to 90% water coverage with wide-angle spray from three nozzles. Fine mist uniformly wets the glass surface, loosening dirt, which is then thoroughly wiped away by the cleaning pads. The 120ml large-capacity water tank has been increased by 100% compared to previous models (W1 PRO and W2 PRO), expanding the cleaning range by approximately 25%. A single water refill can clean up to 75 square meters continuously.

2. “WIN-SLAM 4.0” for Efficient Cleaning and Versatile Glass Surface Compatibility

“WIN-SLAM 4.0” automatically generates efficient cleaning routes based on window type and usage scenario. Seven cleaning modes are available: Spot Cleaning, Partition Cleaning, Edge Cleaning, Deep Cleaning, Thorough Cleaning, Fast Cleaning, and High-Power Dust, all switchable with a single touch. The robots support a wide range of window sizes, from large windows up to 8m x 2.5m to small windows as compact as 30cm x 40cm, and can be used on various window types, including casement windows and terrace glass. Equipped with a “Photocoupler Sensor” to detect the edges of glass surfaces, they are also compatible with frameless windows and bathroom mirrors.

Additionally, four silent technologies reduce operating noise to 66dB, allowing for comfortable use. Cleaning modes can be selected and the robot can be remotely controlled via the dedicated “ECOVACS HOME” app, which also provides voice guidance on cleaning status.

3. Multi-layered Protection System for Enhanced Safety

Multiple hardware-based fall prevention features are implemented, including automatic atmospheric pressure compensation, 10,000Pa suction power, and a floating cleaning pad plate. Even if the battery level is low, the robot can remain adhered to the glass surface for approximately 30 minutes.

Furthermore, a gravity acceleration sensor detects the robot’s status, and a “Photocoupler Sensor” with a rapid response time of 0.007 seconds detects window edges, supporting stable movement. The robot avoids obstacles and automatically disengages if it gets caught during operation.

4. “OMNI Station” to Support Window Cleaning Preparation and Cleanup

The “WINBOT W2S PRO OMNI” includes a multi-functional OMNI station. The “2-in-1 composite cable,” which integrates the safety rope and power cord, and the automatic cable storage function reduce the effort required for preparation and cleanup. The large-capacity integrated lithium battery allows for up to 110 minutes of continuous operation on a full charge.

The station’s control panel allows for five operations, including automatic cable storage and cleaning mode selection, and also provides dedicated storage space for the robot and accessories. Moreover, it combines three fall prevention systems for cleaning exterior windows on high floors: a 5kg station counterweight, over 800N of suction power, and a 5.5m safety rope capable of withstanding forces up to 1,000N.
