Sonos Beam Ultra: A New Mid-Size Soundbar

The Sonos Beam Ultra maintains the compact form factor of the original Sonos Beam while delivering true 7.1.2 Dolby Atmos and richer, warmer bass through nine custom drivers, including two dedicated upward-firing drivers.

The redesigned center channel ensures dialogue is clearer. For enhanced clarity, a four-stage AI speech enhancement function is available, alongside a Night Sound feature for late-night viewing. The Beam Ultra is designed to evolve with users’ lifestyles, serving as the core of a flexible home theater system. It can be expanded with a Sonos Sub for deeper bass or additional rear surrounds, now including compatible Sonos portable speakers.

Sonos Ace Ultra: The Latest Premium Over-Ear Headphones

The Sonos Ace Ultra features Sonos’s custom-designed 40mm drivers and Adaptive ANC powered by ten microphones, offering up to 35 hours of battery life with ANC enabled.

This is also the first headphone to incorporate “Headphone Engine 2,” new hardware that enables direct linking to the Sonos system, available through early access. With a single button press, sound can be transferred from the Sonos system to the headphones, and back to the speakers with another press, even without a smartphone nearby.

Both Beam Ultra and Sonos Ace Ultra, powered by Sonos 27, offer new options for creating a home sound experience. Like all Sonos speakers, these products have been tuned with input from the “Sonos Soundboard,” comprising industry leaders in music and film, to deliver sound true to the artist’s intent.

Key features include:

  • Connected Music Ecosystem: Support for over 100 streaming services, establishing Sonos as a comprehensive music streaming system.

  • Enhanced Integration: Beam Ultra can be grouped or bonded with other Sonos speakers for multi-room listening and home theater setups. Sonos Ace Ultra also connects to the same Sonos system via headphone linking.

  • Room-Specific Tuning: Trueplay tunes Beam Ultra to each room. TrueCinema similarly optimizes the acoustic experience when Sonos Ace Ultra plays sound from a compatible soundbar.

  • Flexible Control: Beam Ultra supports WiFi, Bluetooth, and HDMI eARC. Sonos Ace Ultra further supports USB-C and 3.5mm connections, providing various ways to enjoy content.

Sonos aims to provide an audio operating system that allows users to freely create their home sound experience. Its open platform connects various listening methods, enabling enjoyment of desired content in preferred ways. Availability

The Beam Ultra will be available for ¥99,800 (tax included), with pre-orders starting on September 25 and sales beginning on October 9. The Ace Ultra will be available for ¥69,800 (tax included), with pre-orders starting on October 16 and sales beginning on October 30 at partner stores nationwide (including online).
