HexGaming Announces Participation in Tokyo Game Show 2026, Featuring New Flagship Controller “PHANTOM MAX”

Game Consoles

PHANTOM MAX: Precision Control and Flexible Customization

PHANTOM MAX is a professional gaming controller designed for precise control and flexible customization, allowing adjustments to the operating environment based on game genre and playstyle.

It incorporates TMR (Tunnel Magnetoresistance) sticks, which detect input positions using magnetism. This method aims for precise and stable input by reducing wear influence, as it does not rely on physical contacts.

The controller features four microswitch-based back buttons, which help streamline operations by reducing the need to lift thumbs from the sticks for primary button functions. The distinct click feedback is designed to assist in confirming input timing.

Up to six control profiles can be saved, enabling quick switching of settings according to game titles or playstyles.

PHANTOM MAX’s main features include:

  • TMR sticks for precise and stable input

  • Mechanical face buttons with clear click feedback

  • Four microswitch-based back buttons

  • Up to six quick-switch profiles

  • Switchable adaptive triggers and microswitch hair triggers

  • 14 interchangeable trigger/bumper caps

  • 8 interchangeable thumbsticks

  • Premium non-slip grip

  • Compatibility with PS5, PC, laptops, iOS, and Android

The combination of interchangeable thumbsticks and trigger/bumper caps allows users to adjust the feel to match hand size, grip style, and game genre. For example, short-stroke triggers and back buttons can be used for FPS games, while full-stroke triggers or different stick shapes can be selected for racing or action games, enabling a single controller to support multiple playstyles.

Information regarding the Japan release date, price, sales channels, and purchase methods will be announced sequentially on the HexGaming official website and through official sales channels.

Experience the Operational Feel at the Venue

The operational feel of a controller, including stick movement, button click feedback, back button placement, trigger stroke, and grip shape, can only be truly appreciated by holding it. At HexGaming’s booth (Hall 11, Booth 11-E13), visitors are invited to try out each model and compare configurations that suit their hand size and playstyle.

During business days, new products will be introduced to sales partners, media, creators, and game industry professionals. On public days, visitors will have the opportunity to directly experience the operational performance and customization features of each model.

A HexGaming representative stated, “The feel of a game controller cannot be fully conveyed through specifications alone. At Tokyo Game Show 2026, we want visitors to physically hold and experience our latest models, including PHANTOM MAX, to feel the smooth movement of the TMR sticks, the placement of the back buttons, the feel of the triggers, and the differences provided by interchangeable parts. We look forward to meeting Japanese players, media, sales partners, and creators at the venue and hearing their candid feedback.”
