Xiaomi Japan to Host “The Image, Leica.” Exhibition ~Xiaomi New Product Gallery~ at KITTE Marunouchi

Xiaomi Japan is set to host “The Image, Leica.” Exhibition ~Xiaomi New Product Gallery~ for four days, from March 5 (Thursday) to March 8 (Sunday), 2026, at the KITTE Marunouchi Atrium. This event provides an early opportunity to experience the flagship smartphone “Xiaomi 17 Ultra,” whose global announcement is anticipated on February 28, 2026.

Xiaomi 17 Ultra Exhibition

Four photographers, Kazuki Nagayama, Nagisa Ichikawa, Takeru Kohara, and Takahiro Sakai, who are active in various fields, have had the chance to experience the “Xiaomi 17 Ultra” ahead of its global announcement. The “The Image, Leica.” Exhibition ~Xiaomi New Product Gallery~ will feature a special display of photographs taken by them during this experience. The event will also include exclusive gallery talks by each photographer, a Xiaomi new product experience booth, and a stamp rally with chances to win Xiaomi products and limited novelty items. Visitors are invited to experience the appeal of the photography experience created by Xiaomi and Leica through these exhibitions, experiences, and talk events.

1. Exhibition of Sample Photographs by Renowned Photographers

Photographers Kazuki Nagayama, Nagisa Ichikawa, Takeru Kohara, and Takahiro Sakai have had an early hands-on experience with the “Xiaomi 17 Ultra.” Their photographs, taken with the device, will be specially exhibited at the venue. This exhibition aims to showcase the device’s exceptional descriptive power, which extends beyond the typical capabilities of a smartphone, and the new possibilities for expression it offers.

2. Gallery Talks by Photographers

Special guests Kazuki Nagayama, Nagisa Ichikawa, Takeru Kohara, and Takahiro Sakai will hold gallery talks. They will discuss the camera performance and the background of their shoots, using their actual photographs as examples. This offers a unique opportunity to hear insights directly from the creators.

Kazuki Nagayama
Born in Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture in 1982. Active in advertising, fashion, and artist photography. Serves as Director of Photography for the YouTube channel “THE FIRST TAKE,” handling both video and photography. Shares photo works at @kazuki_nagayama and gentleman lifestyle at @mr_nagayama.

Nagisa Ichikawa
After studying fashion design and working in PR for overseas luxury brands, Nagisa Ichikawa became independent in 2013. She works on brand and service world-building, communication design, and project direction for various domestic and international projects, navigating between sensibility and logic. In recent years, she has focused on photography, exploring expressions that capture moments and emotions hidden in everyday life and travel scenes, leaving small insights and lingering impressions for viewers.

Nagisa Ichikawa

Takeru Kohara
Born in Nagasaki Prefecture in 1984, based in Tokyo. Transitioned to photography after working in construction and as a freelance writer. Driven by his personal experience with hyperhidrosis since childhood, he creates works to raise awareness of the condition. Notable solo exhibitions include “Tatsuen” (Leica Gallery Tokyo/Kyoto) in 2023 and “Contrast” (Iris Gallery) in 2025.

Takeru Kohara

Takahiro Sakai
Born in Nagano Prefecture, active in the Kanto region. Became an independent photographer in 2019 after engaging in amateur photography during the social media era. Primarily focuses on portrait photography, expanding his activities into advertising, manga magazines, culture magazines, photo books, and video. His social media followers collectively exceed 180,000. Recent works include NGT48 Hinata Honma’s 1st photo book “Zutto, Aitakatta,” Sho Nishigaki’s 1st photo book “Sho-sho-,” and participation in “Actresses I Wanted to Photograph Vol. 3.” Joined XICO Management in April 2024.

3. Stamp Rally to Win Xiaomi Products

During the event, a stamp rally will be held, offering chances to win exclusive novelty items and Xiaomi products. By participating in the various contents at the venue, such as product experiences and the photographers’ sample exhibitions, and completing the stamp rally, visitors can enter a prize draw.

4. Xiaomi Product Experience & Purchase Booth

The venue will feature display and experience booths centered around new Xiaomi products. Some products will be available for purchase on-site.

5. Exhibition of “Meet Your Story” Photo Contest Winning Entries

The winning entries from the “Meet Your Story” photo contest, which was held on Xiaomi’s official social media in February 2026 and featured photos taken with Xiaomi smartphones, will also be exhibited.
