Acer Launches Next-Generation Predator Helios Gaming Laptops

Acer has introduced new models to its Predator Helios series, designed for retail and e-commerce channels. These include the Predator Helios 18 AI and two models of the Predator Helios Neo 16S AI, all featuring Intel Core Ultra processors and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 50 Series Laptop GPUs. These models became available on June 24, 2026, through various retailers and the Acer official online store.

Predator Helios 18 AI: Flagship 18-inch Model for High Performance

The Predator Helios 18 AI is positioned as a flagship 18-inch gaming laptop. It is powered by an Intel Core Ultra 9 Processor 290HX Plus and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 Laptop GPU. This model is equipped with 32GB of DDR5 memory and a 1TB SSD, making it suitable for demanding tasks such as gaming, streaming, recording, video editing, and generative AI applications.

Its 18-inch WQXGA (2560×1600) Mini LED display boasts a 250Hz refresh rate, NVIDIA G-SYNC, Calman Verified certification, and 100% DCI-P3 color gamut coverage. It also supports VESA Certified DisplayHDR 1000, ensuring high-definition, smooth visuals for both gaming and creative work. The non-glare panel helps reduce reflections for extended use.

The NVIDIA Blackwell architecture, RTX Tensor cores, DLSS 4, and ray tracing neural rendering technology enhance visual fidelity and smooth rendering in supported games. Users can choose between NVIDIA Game Ready drivers for gaming or NVIDIA Studio drivers for creative tasks like video editing, 3D production, and generative AI.

To maintain stable performance under heavy loads, the Predator Helios 18 AI incorporates a cooling system with two 6th Generation AeroBlade 3D fans. These fans feature 100 thin 0.05mm metal blades, offering approximately 10% more airflow compared to the 5th generation. This, combined with vector heat pipes and liquid metal thermal grease, ensures efficient cooling.

For enhanced gaming control, the WASD and arrow keys feature replaceable MagKey 4.0, which utilizes a patented magnetic switch for a 0.3mm actuation point, supporting quick and precise key presses.

Connectivity options include Killer Wi-Fi 7 BE1750x for high-speed wireless communication and wired LAN for stable connections. Predator Helios Neo 16S AI: Slim Design with OLED Display

The Predator Helios Neo 16S AI offers a slim form factor, measuring approximately 18.9mm thin and weighing around 2.16kg, while housing a 16-inch OLED display. Two models are available:

PHN16S-I51-N93Z57: Features an Intel Core Ultra 9 Processor 386H and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Laptop GPU.
PHN16S-I51-N73Z56: Features an Intel Core Ultra 7 Processor 356H and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 Laptop GPU.

Both models include 32GB of DDR5 memory and a 1TB SSD, supporting a wide range of applications from gaming and streaming to video editing and generative AI. The Intel AI Boost engine assists with AI-powered features for online communication, background processing, and audio processing.

These models also leverage NVIDIA Blackwell architecture with RTX Tensor cores, DLSS 4, and ray tracing neural rendering for detailed and smooth in-game visuals. Users can switch between NVIDIA Game Ready drivers and NVIDIA Studio drivers depending on their needs.

Its 16-inch WQXGA (2560×1600) OLED display delivers vibrant visuals with deep blacks and high contrast, perfect for games and media content. It supports 100% DCI-P3 wide color gamut, Calman Verified certification, VESA Certified DisplayHDR True Black 1000, and NVIDIA G-SYNC. A 165Hz refresh rate ensures smooth motion in fast-paced games, making it suitable for color-critical tasks like video and image editing.

The slim chassis is cooled by a system that includes a 5th Generation AeroBlade 3D fan and a plastic fan. The 5th Gen AeroBlade 3D fan features 89 thin 0.08mm metal blades, providing approximately 10% more airflow compared to its predecessor. Liquid metal thermal grease further enhances CPU cooling, ensuring stable operation even under high loads.

Connectivity includes Killer Wi-Fi 6E AX1675i for fast and stable wireless performance, along with wired LAN. External interfaces feature a Thunderbolt 4-compatible USB Type-C port, supporting up to 40Gbps data transfer and video output for expanding gaming or creative setups with external storage, displays, and peripherals.
