Controller with a 6-Button Top Layout

This new controller for Switch2 features a 6-button layout on the top surface. It will be offered in two models: wireless and wired. For precise and comfortable operation, the left and right analog sticks incorporate high-precision TMR sensors, the left stick includes an octagonal gate, and the main buttons utilize durable small microswitches. The controller is also compatible with the Nintendo Switch and PC, and supports motion controls via gyro and acceleration sensors when connected to Switch2 or Switch.

Enhanced Control with TMR Technology

The analog sticks of this controller are equipped with high-precision TMR (Tunnel Magnetoresistance) sensors. This technology offers superior responsiveness and input accuracy compared to traditional Hall effect sensors, which can greatly assist in delicate stick operations such as aiming. Furthermore, the non-contact structure of the TMR sensors significantly reduces the occurrence of drift due to wear, ensuring comfortable use over an extended period. The stick tension can also be adjusted by simply twisting the stick top, allowing users to customize the feel to their preference. This feature makes the controller particularly suitable for games requiring precise input, such as fighting games, action games, and FPS titles.

Button Lock Function Prevents Accidental Inputs

The controller includes a button lock function that allows specific buttons to be disabled. Users can individually set which buttons to lock, and the function can be easily toggled ON or OFF using a switch located on the bottom of the controller.

Diverse Features for Comfortable Gameplay

Two expansion buttons are located on the back of the controller. These buttons can be freely assigned to various functions, enabling personalized customization to suit individual play styles, such as assigning the L stick button for easier sprinting in FPS games. In addition to a standard turbo function, the controller also features a “turbo hold” function, which maintains rapid firing even after the button is released. This can enhance gameplay in various scenarios requiring continuous input, from fighting games to shooting games and RPG grinding.

For wired connection in non-TV mode for Switch2/Switch/Switch (OLED Model), or for Switch Lite, a separate USB A to Type-C conversion connector is required. PC (Windows 11) is only supported via wired connection. Specifications and compatible models may change with firmware updates.
