Dreamtonics, Creator of Synthesizer V, Launches New AI Performance Synthesis Software ‘Instrument X’

Advanced Sound Generation Technology

Unlike traditional methods that rely on combining large pre-recorded sample libraries, ‘Instrument X’ employs a unique approach. It generates instrument sounds from inputted notes, enabling it to accurately reproduce the natural playing techniques of each instrument, such as the bowing of string instruments or the breath control of wind instruments. It is important to note that ‘Instrument X’ focuses solely on performance creation and does not include automatic composition features.

To achieve its realistic sound, the software incorporates performances recorded from scratch by professional musicians. Dreamtonics’ proprietary dodecahedron speaker and algorithms were developed specifically for ‘Instrument X’ to create an immersive, three-dimensional sound experience. Furthermore, the software supports diverse mixing options with up to 11 microphone channels, including close-up mics, Decca tree setups, and room mics, allowing for the creation of deep and realistic soundscapes reminiscent of actual studio recordings.

Initial Product Lineup

The first series of ‘Instrument X’ features four distinct collections: Strings, Woodwinds, Brass, and Jazz Combo. Customers can choose from several purchasing options to suit their production style:

    • ‘Instrument X Collection Set vol.1’: A comprehensive package containing all four collections.

    • ‘Collection’ series: Individual collections categorized by instrument type.

    • ‘Individual Instrument’ series: Allows users to purchase specific instruments as needed.
