PowerA™ Introduces Mario Kart World-Themed Accessories for Nintendo Switch 2
PowerA™ has announced the release of two new accessories compatible with Nintendo Co., Ltd.’s video game console, the Nintendo Switch™ 2. These products, featuring an original Mario Kart World design, will be available starting September 30, 2026.
This marks PowerA’s first release of “Mario Kart World” themed products in Japan. The designs incorporate familiar characters like Mario and various items from the game, aiming to enhance the immersive gaming experience.
PowerA™ Advantage Wireless Controller for Nintendo Switch 2 – Mario Kart World
This Nintendo-licensed wireless controller for Nintendo Switch 2 features a “Mario Kart World” design depicting Mario racing in his kart. It includes Hall Effect sensors in the L/R stick buttons to prevent drift and anti-friction rings for smooth operation.
Key features include a C-button for game chat functionality, two programmable Advanced Gaming Buttons on the back for custom operations, and motion sensors (accelerometer/gyroscope support) to enhance performance. The rechargeable battery offers up to 30 hours of gameplay on a single charge, and a 3m USB-C charging cable is included. Battery life may vary depending on usage conditions.
It is important to note that this product does not include the following functions, which may limit its use with certain software or console features: amiibo™ read/write, NFC (Near Field Communication), Switch 2 console wake-up, audio jack, HD Rumble 2, Joy-Con™ 2 specific games, and motion IR camera.
