Y.S.N Co., Ltd. has introduced three new mobile power bank models, integrating advanced “quasi-solid-state batteries” and 11 comprehensive protection functions. These products aim to provide exceptional safety and convenience, especially in response to increasing fire incidents during hot weather and more stringent airline regulations on mobile battery carriage.
Development Background: Addressing Safety Concerns and Regulatory Changes
Recent years have seen a rise in mobile battery swelling and ignition incidents, often linked to extreme summer temperatures and devices being left in bags or cars. Furthermore, from April 24, 2026, regulations for carrying mobile power banks on aircraft became more stringent, including stricter limits on the number of devices and a prohibition on in-flight charging. In light of these developments, Y.S.N developed these quasi-solid-state battery models to achieve both “extreme safety” and “freedom of portability” by using a gel-like electrolyte to significantly reduce the risk of leakage and ignition.
Quasi-Solid-State Battery: Two Key Innovations
Unparalleled Safety (Heat and Impact Resistance)
The electrolyte in these new batteries is semi-solid (gel-like), making them highly resistant to the liquid leakage and thermal runaway caused by internal short circuits that are common concerns with traditional liquid-electrolyte batteries. This design ensures stable operation even in high summer temperatures and minimizes the risk of fire in the event of an impact.
Economical Long Lifespan: Approximately 2,000 Charge Cycles
While typical mobile power banks have a lifespan of about 300 to 500 charge cycles, these new models boast approximately 2,000 charge and discharge cycles, which is roughly four times longer. This extended lifespan contributes to reducing environmental impact and improving cost performance by decreasing the frequency of replacements.

These products offer exceptional peace of mind, not only by incorporating highly safe next-generation quasi-solid-state batteries but also through an advanced IC chip that provides 11 types of protection functions, including overcharge, over-discharge, over-voltage, over-current, short circuit, and overheating prevention. This implements a dual safety measure, combining both “physical” and “system” safeguards. Furthermore, the products comply with the Electrical Appliance and Material Safety Act (PSE certification), ensuring safe use in Japan.
High-Power Model Capable of Charging Laptops (15000mAh Model)
The 15000mAh model, with a maximum output of 65W, supports power delivery to laptops such as MacBooks. This provides reassurance for business trips or remote work in cafes where power outlets might not be available.
Full Compliance with New Airline Rules
All models in the lineup meet the carry-on baggage standard of under 160Wh. The publicly recognized safety of quasi-solid-state technology ensures smoother travel through airports with increasingly strict inspections.
3-Port Simultaneous Output & PD Fast Charging
All models are equipped with a total of three ports: one USB-A and two USB-C ports. By using the included PD-compatible cable, users can simultaneously charge up to three devices, from smartphones to tablets, at full speed.
