Yamada Holdings Co.,Ltd. is set to launch the “Roborock Saros 20 Sonic” (hereinafter, Saros 20 Sonic), the next-generation flagship robot vacuum cleaner from Beijing Roborock Technology Co.,Ltd. This innovative model will be available from May 18, 2026, at Yamada Denki stores nationwide and on Yamada Webcom (EC site). The Saros 20 Sonic is designed to deliver revolutionary wet mopping and smooth navigation, ensuring comprehensive cleaning of homes.

Advanced Mopping System: From Wiping to Polishing

The Saros 20 Sonic is equipped with a high-speed vibrating mop that scrubs floors at 4,000 times per minute with strong downward pressure, effectively removing stubborn stains and leaving floors sparkling clean. The mop head, with a 27% larger vibrating area compared to conventional models, physically extends to reach walls and corners, ensuring thorough cleaning up to 0mm from edges. The mop’s high absorbency ensures an even wipe. Users can also customize water volume and vibration intensity via the Roborock app.

Uninterrupted Cleaning Over Steps Up to 8.8cm

This robot vacuum features an automatic lifting mechanism that allows it to navigate over double thresholds up to 8.8cm high. It also adapts to carpets up to 3cm thick, automatically adjusting its height to achieve a 30% higher dust removal rate on long-pile carpets. The integration of LDS laser technology enables precise mapping and smooth navigation across diverse floor types.

Powerful Suction and Tangle-Free Brushes

With a powerful suction of 36,000Pa, the Saros 20 Sonic meticulously cleans various debris, from fine dust embedded in carpets and floor gaps to larger particles like pet litter. It incorporates two helical main brushes that guide debris into the dustbin and an arc-shaped asymmetrical side brush designed to prevent hair tangling, including long hair and pet fur. Both brushes are engineered for 0% hair tangling, minimizing maintenance effort.

Efficient Navigation and Obstacle Avoidance

The Saros 20 Sonic boasts an ultra-thin design (7.98cm) with an automatically retracting and elevating LDS laser sensor, allowing it to clean under low furniture. Even when the LiDAR sensor is retracted, it maintains a 100° rear field of view, achieving 100% mapping and escape success in spaces as narrow as approximately 7cm. Its “Reactive AI 3.0 Obstacle Recognition” feature, utilizing triple structured light, an RGB camera, and VertiBeam™ side structured light, identifies over 300 types of objects, intelligently avoiding cables and cluttered items.

New “RockDock®” Minimizes Post-Cleaning Effort

The latest multi-functional charging dock, “RockDock®”, features 100°C hot water washing to break down oily stains and achieve 99.99% sterilization. Following this, 55°C hot air dries the mop, dock base, and entire dust path to inhibit mold and odor. It also includes a smart dirt detection function that re-washes and re-cleans the mop if dirt is detected during individual mop cleaning while in suction mode. Additional features include automatic detergent dispensing, up to 65 days of automatic dust collection, and 150-minute fast charging. When combined with the standard charging dock or optional water refill/drain system, convenience is maximized.

Smart Intelligence Features for an Evolved Smart Home

The Roborock app learns room types and user preferences, automatically optimizing cleaning routines. For instance, it can increase suction power as needed, re-wash the mop based on dirt levels, or automatically adjust output for quieter operation during “quiet hours,” providing detailed cleaning tailored to daily life. The device also supports detailed carpet settings, allowing for intensive cleaning of rugs or complete avoidance of carpets to prevent wetting. Mop lift operations and edge cleaning routes can be finely adjusted for each room. With Matter compatibility, it seamlessly integrates with Alexa, Siri, and Google Home for overall smart home automation.
