Comment from Mr. Hiroaki Ono, General Affairs Department Manager, Tokyo National Museum

Mr. Hiroaki Ono, General Affairs Department Manager at the Tokyo National Museum, expressed his delight regarding the adoption: “The Tokyo National Museum is very pleased to have introduced Hisense Japan’s 100-inch flagship television to the Heiseikan entrance. For our museum, which has the important mission of conveying the charm of cultural properties, Hisense’s latest large-screen television will enable us to present the intricate details, textures, and results of repair and preservation efforts through high-definition imagery. We anticipate this will offer visitors a new viewing experience.”

RGB MiniLED: The Pinnacle of Hisense’s Display Technology

Hisense has dedicated many years to researching and developing core display technologies, including image engines, LED chips, and backlight control. The “RGB MiniLED” next-generation display technology is the result of these efforts. Hisense unveiled the world’s first RGB MiniLED TV at CES, the world’s largest technology trade show, in January 2025. Following its launch in China in March, and in the US and Europe in July of the same year, it was exhibited at IFA in Germany in September. Finally, in 2026, RGB MiniLED-equipped TVs were introduced to the Japanese market.

Unlike conventional backlight technologies, RGB MiniLED directly generates red, green, and blue light, achieving high purity and vivid color expression. Combined with a 100-inch large screen, it renders intricate textures and subtle color gradations with richness, providing an immersive experience akin to being present at the scene. Hisense holds the top position in global shipments of large-screen televisions. The company is committed to advancing research and development in large-screen and high-picture-quality technologies to deliver innovative visual experiences to users worldwide.
