Bixby enables users to operate their Samsung Galaxy devices using natural language without needing to input exact setting names or commands. Users do not need to learn the device’s operational menu structure or memorize specific terminology. They can simply describe what they want to do or ask why something is happening on their device. Bixby understands user intent and performs appropriate actions, which helps reduce the time and effort spent managing everyday device settings and features.
For example, if a user says, “I don’t want the screen to time out while I’m looking at it,” Bixby will understand the request and immediately turn on the “Keep screen on while viewing” setting. Users will not need to navigate through settings screens or recall precise feature names.
Bixby not only provides general explanations but also identifies the device’s current settings and suggests various solutions. This reduces trial and error for users, allowing them to complete tasks more quickly, even if they are unfamiliar with the device or its features.
If a user asks, “Why is my screen always on when it’s in my pocket?”, Bixby will display relevant settings, such as “Accidental touch protection,” based on the context of the situation, allowing the user to enable it immediately.
Real-time Web Search Functionality
Bixby also supports real-time web search functionality. It accesses the latest information in real-time via Perplexity, and search results are displayed within Bixby’s own user interface. This means users can search for topics and get answers to questions within a consistent and seamless experience. They can research necessary information more quickly without being redirected to another browser or app, allowing them to stay focused on the task at hand.
For instance, if a user asks Bixby, “Find hotels with a children’s pool in Seoul,” Bixby understands the request and directly displays relevant web search results within its interface, allowing users to explore available options without interruption or delay.
