About STU48

STU48 is Japan’s sixth AKB48 sister group, established in March 2017. Based in the “Setouchi” area, it is the AKB48 group’s first wide-area idol group, primarily active in “One Sea, Seven Prefectures.” The name STU48 (Es-Tee-You Forty-Eight) is derived from the initial letters of Setouchi. The group performs touring concerts across the seven prefectures of Setouchi, delivering the “Voice of Setouchi” nationwide.
